Veteran free-agent QB Andy Dalton is expected to reach agreement on a two-year, $10 million deal that includes $8 million fully guaranteed with the Carolina Panthers, per source. Contract max value is $17 million. pic.twitter.com/GCBhqpQ0H8— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 14, 2023 Another one gets away......
Cowboys trade for Stephon Gilmore. Got him for a 5th. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/cowboy...on-gilmore-in-trade-with-colts-211158741.html
The #Texans have signed DT Sheldon Rankins to a one-year, $10.5 million deal, source says. DeMeco Ryans gets a big piece for his defensive front. After two years with the #Jets, Rankins heads to Houston. pic.twitter.com/vYA93fN4u4— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 15, 2023 Dang, this sucks. Was hoping we could get Rankins back but 10.5M was probably a little too steep for us.
Wow that is steep. They also lost Nathan Shepherd so there's a gaping hole at DT. He was solid last year, but is replaceable. I expect a signing or two soon
Has the NFL ever offered a satisfactory answer as to why the full formula for determining comp picks is still confidential? That feels a lot like that ESPN QBR garbage, except this actually benefits teams a lot.
depends how many people we sign compared to how many lost. they wouldn't kick in until next year though. we got none this year based on last offseason.
That sucks. I liked that dude.... especially when he made a play when I was drinking and would yell "RANKINS" in a shitty white boy Jamaican accent (no, I dont know if he's Jamaican or not... but everyone I've known with that name was)
Saints signing RB Jamaal Williams to 3-year deal. (via @RapSheet) pic.twitter.com/DJ7NF5CeyP— NFL (@NFL) March 15, 2023 I actually wanted him to complement Breece. Love this guy's game and attitude
Feeney sucks but there’s a troubling trend of us losing depth while we wait for this Aaron Rodgers trade to go through. Rankins was a big loss then we whiffed on Cox. Lost Shepard as well which leaves us fairly thin at DT. Alexander and McGovern are still hanging out waiting to be snatched up with no one better than them available for us if they leave. Really hope this gets figure out soon because some of our strongest areas are taking a hit while we wait.
The #Patriots are hosting #Rams FA safety Taylor Rapp on a visit that begins today, source said. The versatile defender could find a home in New England.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 16, 2023 I was very in on this guy. Hopefully he doesn't sign with the Pats
