2022 - Week 4: New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers

Just depends how Zach plays. He could be rusty and have a tough game. Or he could energize the offense and light up the Steelers D. The Jets D needs to play much better too. I'll say they will. 24-20 Jets.

 

I'm expecting Rashard Mendenhall to come out of retirement just to fuck us up.

 

I had this marked as a winnable game and see no reason to change my mind. The Steelers are struggling at QB and also have some injury issues. If Zach can provide a spark the Jets can win this game if they avoid the self inflicted mistakes and untimely penalties.

The Jets history in Pittsburgh is a concern. In 11 all time matchups including the two playoff games the Jets have only won once. However I cannot remember the Jets playing a Steelers team in Pittsburgh that was not one of the top teams in the AFC. This year is different….

 

The Jets never beat Pitt. This game will be over after the first quarter. Wilson with turn the ball over 3 times in 15 minutes. He will get hurt trying to run for a first down on 3rd and 30. Broken leg and separated shoulder.

Final score Pitt 45, Jets 3.

 

The Jets are playing the 2022 Steelers. Not the 1970's Steelers.

 

If Zach plays this will feel like the actual start to the season. Screw those other 3 games. Opening Day next Sunday!

Doesn't matter. Wilson is an injury-prone, turnover machine. We should have traded the number 2 pick and rebuilt this team accordingly and then maybe lured away Geno Smith to be our QB to lead us to the playoffs.

Correct...going back to that blizzard game the Jets are 5-6 against the Steelers but 5-4 in the regular season. The Jets couldn't beat them in the Chuck Noll days....
