Our first preseason game is only 10 days away and training camp is heating up with padded practices ramping up. Since we only have 3 preseason games, and for the sake of jelling together, I hope starters for both defense and offense can at least play 1 quarter. This will be the only thread for this preseason game and will be used as Game Thread. My hope, Zach plays at least 2 series and lead us to TD in both series. Garrett Wilson catches one of those TD's. Sauce catches at least 1 INT and Breece Hall scores a Running TD while Jermaine Johnson gets his first sack of the NFL. Dreams, dreams!
I can’t believe we’re single digit days (9) away from some actual football! Baltimore will be here before you know it! I’m with you Brook, hopefully Zach plays a few series, looks comfortable and gets a TD or 2.
That is my main hope and that goes for the joint practices with Philly, Atlanta and the NYG as well. I care a lot less about the results. What I am more interested in than the results is how the team looks in the joint practices. Last year we got dominated in joint practices and it was an early tell that we would not be competitive. This year with the influx of talent we should hopefully dominate the NYG and Atlanta in joint practices and hopefully hold our own against Philly. Again no injuries but next weeks joint practices should give us a good barometer as to where this team is and how competitive we might be this year.
We aren’t practicing with theEagles and theJints are one day and there talent level is so bad we should practice against Don Bosco instead. I am pumped for preseason. I just want Zac to look sharp so we keep the positive vibes going and no injuries
I believe you might be right I have only seen the Giants and Falcons listed but the new beat writer from the Athletic, who just replaced Hughes, said on the Jake Asman show a couple of days ago, that we had joint practices with the Eagles too. He could be in error. I also agree that how we perform against the Giants and Falcons fronts will not be telling. The eagles have really good lines and would have been a much better test. Joint practices offer a lot more insight than preseason games. That is a shame.
Just remember, how well or poorly any starter plays in preseason is meaningless. Also seriously, no injuries.
Like to see some passing game completions early, some flashes of young players developing, and no serious injuries.
Have been a fan since early 70's, magical Mets season like this don't come along very often, enjoying every minute of it...
