Hugh Douglas didn’t fit the new D. there will always be some casualties with change. Parcels wasn’t hell bent on tearing down the roster tho, and wasn’t afraid to improve with trades or FA. turned things around very fast as result. Look at his first 3-4 years compared to JD. Look to orgs like the Steelers also who aren’t personality driven, they would never allow the “complete” rebuild. It’s a bad tactic and hasn’t been working here.
The last time the Jets and the Steelers met when both teams sucked was 2003. The Jets won a snowy game at the Meadowlands 6-0 with Curtis Martin breaking a 56 yard run where everybody else fell down but he got tackled from behind before he scored. That was the second FG. CMart had 174 yards rushing that day.
I love how this broadcast crew keep throwing bouquets at the Jets. The good times are just around the corner..
So, based on Cowher's analysis, when exactly do we move from disappointment to discouragement? Enough of these moral victories. They mean jack squat. Actual wins are the only ones that matter, and it's time for this bunch of losers to finally produce some results.
