There are some coaches who can't cut it at the top but are good people. Judge is not. He's a bad person. Good riddance.
Mara's must have heard from former players, league people, insiders, and were finally being made fun of as a joke ownership group too. They love to deflect so they fired Judge today. Strahan almost lost it over the weekend
Yeah, I read somewhere else that the players wanted him out. The back-to-back QB sneaks couldn't have helped.
There's a huge difference between being an assistant, and the man incharge. I think he basically unraveled.
Yeah, that's got to be it. Nothing happened between Monday and Tuesday that "changed the direction of the franchise." I absolutely believe that it's about nothing other than how Mara and/or Tisch feel they are being perceived. First they thought they'd be ridiculed for replacing three straight coaches after two years, so they were going to keep him. Then they discovered that they're being ridiculed for not firing an incompetent jerk, so they're firing him.
There have been plenty of assistants who can't cut it as head coaches who don't turn into complete douchebags. Bowles for instance. But what pressure does do is get people to reveal their real character because they lose the ability to keep their mask up.
You are reminding me of something I used to say to my mom on Sunday afternoons, "Football is a metaphor for life."
I liked the idea of the Giants hiring Judge as a former special teams. Then I started to hear his press conferences and it’s unbelievable what a narcissist he is. A lot of good sales people are narcissists so it makes sense that he landed a job way above his head.
My brother wants them to hire Flores. I mean, I can't argue with him on that. The guy did a pretty decent job with a team that had very mediocre talent.
