Just a general question for you and all Yankees fans, why the Yankees over the Mets, but not Giants over the Jets?

Also I'm not being a smartass. Just genuinely asking..

No I know. But the Yankees should look at some of the smaller franchises and take from them. They can still spend but they haven't invested in developing arms whatsoever.

Born into it. My dad was a big Reggie Jackson fan in the 70s. As far as the Jets are concerned I don't think he was a big football fan until he came into the opportunity to get season tickets on the cheap during the Hess years in the early 90s and dove in head first at it.

My dad was a Yankees fan and a very bitter football Giants fan when I was growing up. We watched the Yankees regularly and baseba was his true passion. He rooted for the Giants but nowhere near as passionately as the Ysnkees. So as a kid I decided to root for the Cowboys and did so until the mid 80's. Then in 1986 I decided I wanted to be a Jets fan. Big mistake

Nothing like getting no hit through 4 and scoring one run against a guy whose 2-12 with a 6.19 ERA.

Looks like someone probably flipped a table like Bowles did against the Texans in the Yankee clubhouse.

Boone and Cashman still drive me nuts with the shuffling lineup. Gallo is obviously struggling - move him down to 7/8 and let him get used to his first month away from Texas and the Rangers since becoming a big leaguer. He lived there year round and was supposedly very involved in the community and shit. The Bronx is a culture shock. Stop hitting him all over the lineup.

Just wait until he gets back to back games with a hit. He will be moved right to the top of the order (1-3)

Gallo has been struggling for a few weeks pre yankee. He probably will be hard to watch when he struggles.

We can't lose 2 out if three to the worst team in baseball....at home. Inexcusable. Hopefully we pull this one out.

P.S. I'm not a huge Sanchez fan but he is a lot better than Higgy.

Rizzo is a keeper with our current 1B situation.

So far so good with the trades Cashman made. Rizzo and Gallo have come up with some huge hits. Now it's up to the pitching. If they can get Kluber and Sevy healthy I would feel much better with a rotation of Cole, Kluber, Sevy, Monty and Taillon/German. The back end of the bullpen stills scares me. Green has thrown a lot of innings and when he implodes he does so in spectacular fashion. And who knows about Chapman. I shot my pants every time he comes in the game.

This team *should* make the wild card. But you never know what will happen in a one game playoff. At least they are exciting to watch again. Next up is another "must win" early August game

Told you Bic man. This was a big time series for your Yankees. Boston lost too and now only 3.0 behind them (and they're slumping bad right now absolutely no pitching).

Now only 1.5 behind Oakland and 1.0 if they lose tonight and 3.0 ahead of Seattle.

But how about Nelson Cruz? 3 RUN HR + 2 run RBI double = 5 RBIs and 6 total bases.

You have to think that it's not just him. All the Yankees that are on the Covid list probably aren't vaccinated....Cole, Montgomery, Sanchez... It pisses me off but I don't think what you are suggesting would help.

I'll tell you this though. If I was a vaccinated teammate I'd be pissed at these guys. Imagine if this was happening during a playoff series? Holy shit.
