We are 1-6 and getting ready to play a Bengals team who just destroyed Ravens on the road. Not much hope for the season at this point but @jaywayne12 has a great video to kick us off.
And guys...I do apologize how long it is. But, way too much to cover. Also, if you can take a few seconds to subscribe that would be great....you will not receive emails or anything at all. Its all about the algorithms and that would really help me. Thanks again! Jay
I said 27-13 Pats. I meant 27(2) Pats- Jets 13. This week can't be any worse, but they're still going to get curb-stomped.
For the first time in my 20+ years of having season tickets, I’m considering just not going. There’s no reason to be there other than to get some fresh air and you don’t really get that in northern NJ anyway. doesn’t matter what the score is, we’ll lose by multiple scores and look horrendous while doing it.
I enjoyed watching highlights of the Bengals game on RZ - it just goes to show how if you get the right person under centre and a few other pieces then you can turn things around (sadly I just dont see the Jets ever getting the QB right - it honestly feels like a curse at this point)
It's also impressive because they're winning despite the Coach. Taylor is abysmal, but having a young QB with an absurd amount of weapons on the offensive side of the ball will make it work. Chase Higgins Boyd Mixon That might be the second best group of skill players in the league after Tampa.
The only way I think this one stays close is if the Bengals suffer a letdown which is very possible coming off a huge road win over the Ravens. When I say close I mean the Bengals will win by 14-17 points. Say 31-14 or something like that. They won't run up the score like NE did but they will win comfortably.
Isnt it crazy how things work out like that when you put a stress on skill position players for multiple years in a row? Imagine if we had passed on the OL for the stud WR last year… we’d have Lamb and we’d be missing close to nothing because Becton has given us close to nothing. But LaFleur would still be calling runs up the middle.
The thing that really sucks is the Mims BS. That draft was loaded with WR talent and we ended up with the guy who hasn't done anything. Jefferson CD Jeudy Claypool Pittman Higgins Ruggs Shit even Gabe Davis on Buffalo and Bryan Edwards on Oakland look better than the shit we have in Mims.
Yup. I don’t totally blame Mims but we should have gone Lamb in the first to begin with which means we wouldn’t have gone Mims. The fact that we didn’t walk out of that’s draft with two starters at WR was a massive gaffe by Douglas. We barely walked away with a starter on the OL.
We needed o-line that draft and it wasn't even debatable. It was a way bigger need. The real problem with the 2020 draft was taking the wrong guys. We should have taken WIrfs over Becton and Claypool over Mims. (I still think Mims has potential though).
Mike White? Bengals by 50. No one has stressed the need for a veteran back-up QB more all off-season than me, yet here we are. Pathetic.
