First round is in the books and tonight we are back on the clock after the Jags!

what’s the pick? Do we trade back?

I personally think we will trade back 5-10 spots or take Asante Samuel jr or Tevin Jenkins

Actually the more I think about it the more I want Jenkins. Can’t Fant play guard too? They said that when we signed him right? It was the both tackle positions? If he can, we can get rid of both those clown guards that we have AND save some $

Ideally for me trade back and still get a decent OL or CB in mid to late 2nd rd pick, and get a 3rd rd pick in return. That will mean we get 2,3,4,4,5,5,6,6. 8 picks to bring few starters and depth.
If 34 can’t be pass up, I am ok with that as long as this one is an immediate fill in starter....

Jenkins. If they want to trade back to recoup that 3rd they lost this year I'm okay with it as long as it's for Creed or Dickerson. I don't want to touch edge or CB with this pick. OL OL OL OLOL and more OL. Build this shit up and beat the hell out of people all game.

I think we trade back to recoup. I fear if we do Jenkins won't be there. To me ideally like you said we drop 5-10 spots. With 5-10 high graded players to recoup picks. I'd love Jenkins but Creed Humphrey would be great Samuel Jr. either Moore wr. Few linebackers are available and some edge. We'll see in about 11 hours. Be fun to speculate and hear the rumors. Draft day is always fun.

I would be fine if they trade back and get Williams. RB is also needed.

JOK at 34 is very interesting as is Jenkins. Lots of good options.

I don’t know if I can survive a running back. JD is already testing me.

    @Rockinz

I will move this to Draft Forum and relabel the thread as "2021 NFL Draft - Day 2 (Rounds 2 and 3)"

So many options. I think my preferences are:

    1. JOK
    2. Trade down, recoup a third, WR/CB/RB
    3. Jenkins

If we walk away from our first three picks with Wilson, Vera-Tucker and JOK, that’s a homerun.

Tevin Jenkins is going to be a probowler.
I’d take him, put both him at RG and AVT at LG.
Next year, Jenkins moves to RT.

But so many things Jets could do now.

Javonte Williams could be a difference maker + help Zach the most of all the guys at 34.

Also CB is a need and Asante Samuel, Jr could fill that spot.

Also several really good WR’s still available...

a trade down makes a lot of sense.

Ok maybe after the 2nd/3rd round is in the books. Should be on the main page as it’s the most important thing going on for the Jets

Don't worry. The visibility of Draft Forum is much higher than main page during draft. Also to be consistent, we can't let draft threads on the main forum. A lot of threads already got moved to Draft Forum.

Will be Notre Dame's Jeremiah Owusu Koromoah. And fits a need. If he doesn't get picked by Jags, we need to steal him at this point in draft

He would fit the need they were trying to fill with Keanu Neal.

Everyone has different thoughts. Here is my wish for day 2:

    34. Trade back with the Bengals at 38. Bengals come up for an olinemen. The Jets drop back 4 spots still have an opportunity for some of the top big board players and recoup one of the traded picks. Not sure trade value etc but feel it'll be a fourth unless we trade a 5th and we get a third. At 38 take Jenkins, Humphrey, Rondale Moore or Elijah Moore, LB JOK or one of the cbs.

With the remaining third and fourth round picks I'd look to draft ol, wr, lb, cb and edge based on what position we didn't draft in the second round.

With our 5th or 6th round picks I'd look to trade for veterans who could help us.

    a. Gardner Minshew or Nick Foles as backup qb. Prefer Minshew. Foles scared off by the contract so probably not but a thought.

    b. Don't think he'd be available and probably cost more than a 5th or 6th I'd like to see if James Robinson from Jacksonville is available after the Ettiene pick.

    c. I heard not sold on him but a veteran who could help wr Anthony Miller from Chicago.

Just a thought for tonight. Wonder what others thing or could see happening.

Can’t argue with JOK at #34... 3 down lber, with instincts and range, fills a need... I don’t see him busting + great value.

All good suggestions. The only good thing about having so many holes is JD can go BPA and fill one of them.

It's starting to come down to which draft, this or next, will JD use to round out the team and plug the last holes.

The only way we can get a 3rd (according to the trade value chart) is if we trade to the middle of the 2nd to a team lime the Titans. For Cincy it would be their 4th for our early 5th.
