Giants helping the Jets draft pick position, making Seattle look very mediocre. Rodgers with the 400th TD pass of his career, in 193 games (quickest in NFL history).
Arizona offense has been really bad today - less than 200 yards in total offense late in the fourth quarter.
NFC East wins its first game of the season against a team with a winning record, as the Giants beat Seattle.
That was interesting. judge and their DC Graham have improved that bunch a lot. Riding Wayne Gallman and having to play Colt McCoy? Definitely lucky they play at Seattle in the year without those fans. But that’s an impressive W. Leonard Williams had a huge game. Got Wilson for 2.5 sacks. If only LW could be in a walk year every year!
One of the ghosts of bad draft picks, Chad Hansen, had himself a good game (100+ yards) for the Texans. Didn't know he was still in the league.
He was a strange one. Got playing time toward the end of his rookie year and did okay, enough to show he might not be a completely wasted pick anyway. Got praised during practices before camp for how sharp he was looking and how he was catching everything and then nose dived off a high cliff in camp and preseason to not even make the roster. And it wasn't like that was a high bar.
Pittsburgh goes for it on 4th and goal and gets stopped. They go for it on 4th and 1 for a 40 something yard field goal and gets stopped. What are they thinking?! They'd be up at least 3 right now.
I'm sure the Giants were positive that they were going to have a 1+ (with the tie-breaker) game lead after today. This is an even bigger upset than the Giants winning. Alex Smith leading WFT to a .500 or more record would make him the shoo-in for Comeback Player of the Year (he may already be it anyway).
Not that these teams are incredible but the whole "the NFC East is the worst division ever," stuff looks like it can be put to bed. The winner will be no worse than any other 7-9/8-8 division winner we've seen. They're also a very frustrating team to play on the road for say the Buccaneers (who should've lost to the Giants) or Vikings or Cardinals. You never want to play a good defensive line that can stop the run in the wild card round. They both yield that.
It'll be interesting to see what the Ravens do with Jackson. He has regressed from last year and his flaws might hold the team back from contending for the Lombardi trophy. @Jonathan_Vilma I think you brought this up earlier this year.
Yeah I'm not sure what their thinking is going to be. But I do think they need to give Jackson a go with a coordinator that can actually work with a quarterback. Roman isn't that guy. If they ever want him to become a legitimate passer, they need to commit to making that happen. They also need more real receivers around him. Hollywood Brown is a one trick pony and then that's really it outside of the good tightends. Willie Snead + Myles Boykin?
Troy Aikman just said that if the Cowboys didn't score on 4th down vs the Ravens it would be "the story of the year" ... This dude needs ta go.
