Well here we are again. Playing Miami in another pointless season where the results are meaningless. Perhaps the Jets will do us a favor and show up this week for the home fans. Seriously, show up if for no other reason than to salvage some of what's left of their pride. 1pm start so there's no late game excuse. Sunny and a high of 41F takes the weather out of the equation so, there's only one thing that can keep the Jets from winning this game. That would be the Jets themselves.. Cya on Sunday Boyz! Go Jets!!
Totally agree. Even if we lose as long as Sam plays at a high level this is a win for us. Bad season already just want Sam to be playing well. Also would like Blessuan to have a good game.
Not completely sold on the Flores part... He's just another system guy, but we all know how Fitzmagic works.
The Jets should win. Factor this in: -The first match-up was on the road. -The Dolphins played as well as they possibly could. -The Jets played nearly as bad as they possibly could. The final score was 26-18 Dolphins. Still, the Jets are the Jets, so you never know what to expect.
1. If we lose we pick before Miami. Could trade Miami or another team with same needs out of multiple first rd picks then. 2. If Sam has a good game we at least know he's still decent.
We should win. And then we should lose the last three. But this is football, so anything can happen. Except beating the Ravens, that isn't going to happen.
That last sentence sums it up. We SHOULD win. We also SHOULD have been able to beat an 0-11 Bengals team, not get thumped. Who knows?
Working on the assumption that Adams, Poole and Maulet don't suit up I think this will be another L. The secondary is down to Maye, a rookie 6th round pick and guys off the street. We have no pass rush and the LBs suck in coverage. I don't care how much of a genius Williams is supposed to be, if he can manufacture any sort of pass D out of that I will be impressed.
Here's the windup on our next game imo: There is absolutely no consistency with our Team and HC coaching (great feeling right? Lol) There is no consistency with our OL and now significant contributors on the D including Adams are out We are at home (good) but are favored to win (NEVER a good sign) Fitz knows how to play at MetLife but Darnold has exorcised his "ghosts" and can play well Darnold and the Team plays better quarter to quarter when Gase listens to kid on what plays to call (good luck with that Sam ugh!)...Gase may listen more since humiliated by Miami once and fiasco last weekend So this game is a toss up...Gase might get lucky or be embarrassed/hated further
Bell missed his 2nd straight practice with an illness today. If he is somehow OUT on Sunday, don't you get the feeling the Jets will run wild with Powell and Montgomery? That would be so Jets. 200 yards rushing without Bell.
