Will Knicks land Durant? Who will Nets sign? I expect both Knicks and Nets to improve and make basketball fun for New York metro area people.
Knicks didn't pick up option for Mudiay, so he's a UFA now. Durant already opted out. Rumor has it Kyrie favors the Nets, and Walker is favored for the Celtics. There are a LOT of high profile free agents, it is going to be exciting. Durant Irving Leonard Butler Cousins Walker Millsap Horford Thompson Harris Middleton
I love the NBA off-season schedule. It all flows by so nicely. Once it's over though, we're back to waiting for TC. :/ Hope the Bucks can retain their starting 5, or at least Brogdon, and Khris.
On a serious note, I don't think they'll get anyone all that great, and even if they do, they won't have enough depth to be a real contender.
I'm going to quote this again. You can't just say 2 players would beat an entire team that lead the league in wins, and among league history leaders in wins by double digits. Your argument is heavily based on obviously the rest of the starting 5, and the bench as well. Do you want to elaborate on that further?
it depends on how much you undervalue lebron james you mean to tell me that if the lakers have LBJ AD and a ( khwai ,irvin or butler ) / 32 M in depth role players woudnt beat last year bucks while the raptors did it ?
That's a very big if. Absolutely they could do it in theory, although anything can happen. You just said that those 2 players alone meant they would beat the Bucks. You didn't provide any further argument of the team being more than that. I think it's very much up for debate. Either way, I can't wait for free agency to get started, just like I'm sure you're hyped as well, cuz it's a great time to be a basketball fan. Cheers brother.
Very interesting question. No I don't. Even with KD likely leaving, I believe Klay will be good to play by the playoffs next year, with how great acl surgery history has been lately, and those guys are so good, they should at least be in the conversation for top 5 contending teams Obviously it's way too early to say what teams will be the favorites. This might be the most crucial free agency in league history. However even if Kawhi stays, I can't see the Bucks not being favorites in the East to make the finals, or 50/50. The West however, is a whole different conversation. I can't wait to see how it plays out.
Done winning titles? Yes Done being a top team in the league? No, I believe once when Klay gets back they will be a top 4 team in the West again, however they won't be the favorites to win the finals or even go to the finals from their conference. Imagine though they have a terrible season this year and end up with a top pick in the draft next year?
Yep, until injuries happened. Putting those 3 together would be even more dominate than what the Warriors had. As ridiculous as it sounds I would put money on them for a 3-peat, barring injuries.
