Yeah. It was a good game.
    South Carolina out hustled Duke.
This looks like a year for upsets.

South Carolina's Sindarius Thornwell is a fantastic player.

South Carolina scored 65 points in the second half

ACC looking a little overrated....They got 9 teams in the tournament and only UNC remains after the first weekend. (after escaping late with some friendly calls from the stripes)

    t's how they lost too:
-2nd place ND never really close against West Virginia,
-3rd place Florida State destroyed by the Big East's 6th place team
    - Virginia manages 39 points against florida
-Duke gives up 65 in the second half to South Carolina
    - Miami crushed by Michigan St.
    - Louisville/Michigan was a good hard fought game

maybe there will be less ass kissing of that conference next year

Pac-12 back finally. There ain't no truck stops here! Just glad to see Oregon get to the Sweet Sixteen after Chris Boucher went down. We probably won't go any farther but at least we came back after the loss in the Pac-12 championship game.

In the women's tournament, University of Washington's Kelsey Plum broke the NCAA career record for pints scored.
That gal is a heck of a player. She can drive to the basket and shoot from outside.
    She's also a great passer.

All the while doing it with only 3/4 of a ball! Incredible!

    Teams remaining by conference:

    Pac-12: 3
    (Oregon, UCLA, Arizona)
    Big-12: 3 (W.Va., Kansas, Baylor)
    Big-10: 3 (Mich., Purdue, Wisc.)
S.E.C.: 3 (So. Car., Kentucky, Fla.)
    Big East: 2 (Xavier, Butler)
    W.A.C.: 1 (Gonzaga)
    A.C.C.: 1 (UNC)

    Thurs. 3/23 (seed / team / location / time / tv
    #3 Oregon #7 Mich. -- K.C. 7:10 CBS (Mich. on a misson; injury-plagued, higher-seeded Ducks screwed venue-wise)
    #1 Gonzaga #4 W.Va. - San Jose 7:40 TBS (can W.Va's full-court pressure do the trick)
    #1 Kansas #4 Purdue - K.C. 9:40 CBS (on paper Kansas, on-court, ?)
#2 Arizona #11 Xavier - San Jose 10:10 TBS (Az with too much size)

    Friday 3/24
#1 UNC #4 Butler - Memphis 7:10 CBS (the pick: UNC scholar/aff-a-leets prevail)
#3 Baylor #7 So. Car. - NYC 7:30 TBS (should be an interesting slugfest)
#2 Kentucky #3 UCLA - Memphis 9:40 CBS (which schizoid Kentucky team shows up)
#4 Florida #8 Wisconsin - NYC 10:10 TBS (Wisconsin's a #2-3 seed stupidly seeded #8 [screwing 'Nova] vs. Florida peaking at the right time).

sidebar: not a knock on the ladies, but does the woman's bracket need 64 teams?
There have been a 61, a 63 and an 89 point blowout thus far (of course one involving UConn) :
    UConn-116; Albany-53 (61 point margin)
    Duke-94; Hampton-31 (63 point margin)
    Baylor-119; Tx. So.-30 (
    89 point margin)

Which number 1 seed will fall first ?
    I predict Gonzaga.

Regarding he women's tournament, I think it's poor sportsmanship for the top seeds to run up the score on the bottom seeds.
If the team is ahead by 35 points midway thru the 3rd quarter, they should put the subs in and let them get some playtime.

KU/Purdue was close most of the game

Kansas pulled away and then decided to try and run up the score as much as possible.
