HOLD IT!!!! You know better than this! You CAN'T start a new season of something without reminding all the viewers where we left off at the end of last season!!!
Nice start for the Big East Conference, going 17-1 in their combined first 18 games. There were some big wins in those numbers too.
Only aware of Nova's win at Purdue. What are the other good wins? (saw G'town's brutal choke vs. Maryland).
UCLA, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Duke and North Carolina all ranked in the top 10....... just how the suits running the NCAA like it to be
Locally, St. John's (playing a pathetically weak pre-Big East conference schedule) has already lost to Delaware STATE, a team that came into the game 1-5. And the local little guys in the MAAC (Iona and Manhattan) suck this year as well.
ouch. I knew he took over in horrible circumstances but I thought Mullin had them heading in the right direction. Losing to Delaware State isn't encouraging progress. I believe the sport is better when St. John's is relevant so I wish them the best. St. Bonaventure is 5-2 and takes on 6-3 Hofstra tonight.
Villanova vs. Gonzaga has been announced for the 2017 Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden. I have waited 20 years for a chance to beat the paste out of those creampuff-conference playing, participation-trophy craving, media darlings.
I could not be happier with the way Villanova is playing right now. I hope they and Creighton both go into that New Years Eve game undefeated!
The self-proclaimed "New York's College Team" got absolutely bitchslapped last night by St. John's... that was nice to see
The worst thing about the Grayson Allen nonsense is that it's about Grayson Allen. We're not talking about one of the greatest college players of all time, like Laetner, who stomped on a player in a game where he didn't miss a single shot including a ludicrous game winner, we are talking about a decent player who is simply an asshole. Laetner could be an asshole, his resume gave him that leeway. Allen should be ignored.
That was Butler whom St. John's beat. Butler responded vs. the 'Cats tonight (no big deal - tough conference road game) while SJU returned to earth vs. #10 Creighton.
