There is 0 competition in the East. Hopefully the Wizards and Bucks stay healthy and get to that next level. East is GARBAGE. Remove Love, and TT. Put in Wiggins, who Lebron should've mentored and made him a Pippen type player instead of just brushing him off and any combination of big men that was available at that time. You don't think that line-up of Irving, Wiggins [year 2], and Lebron don't beat the Celtics? You must be crazy. Think of all the extra cap space they gain in the process to make their team better. You can find big men like a Biyombo, Kyle O'Quinn to make up the difference. Just like the Warriors did. In terms of Love, he hasn't been a world beater by any means. Love was 1-9 in a must win game at home. He had an excellent playoffs this year, but thrashing on the East isn't all that impressive. Here's why I mentioned Delly and Wiggins. Lebron has been on Durant for the most part, while carrying the team on his back and playing 40+ minutes a night. Wiggins would've taken the pressure off Lebron to guard Durant. Lebron has been fatigued in the 4th QTR in each of the last 3 games. That would be a difference maker. Delly, I think again you got Irving playing against Curry a little bit and I do think Delly could help operate the offense and get others involved as Kryie is mostly an ISO player. Deron Williams completely non-effective this series. Where's my list you gypsy?
This is simply false. Considered by whom? Lots of people felt it was a bad trade when it happened. It's still a poor trade now. All that for a rental. One season of Kevin Love. You want to know what's not debatable? This. They got one season of Love out of the deal and they didn't win the title. They won the title AFTER signing him as a free agent and giving him a massive contract. So two first overalls plus another first rounder, they did not win the title (Love didn't even play in the Finals), and then Love hit the open market. That's what happened.
Hold your breathe. I mean, Love has had 1 bad game basically the entire playoffs and you use it as the center of your argument and just use excuse after excuse to support your argument. "East sucks" "Can't blame Wiggins for MIN D." It falls flat. You also pretty much ignored every point I made too.
I was hoping Golden State would sweep the series, but they came out flat tonight. Maybe they can pull it out in the second half.
I love it when NBA fans say the east sucks, but Golden State had to sign Durant to have any chance of beating the Cavaliers, without Durant the warriors lose again to the Cavs.
After the Warriors sweeping the playoffs, the next most interesting thing that could happen in this series is the Cavs coming back from 0-3, so I'm hoping for a Cavs win tonight.
Question, what does Golden State have to do with the state of the other teams in the East? The East is extremely bad. Barely any competition, awful management by the majority of the teams on that side.
The same thing exist in the west, the lakers are infighting like the roman senate used to, the Spurs relied on one guy to help them get to 61 games this year, can you imagine if Leonard was not clutch? They maybe would have won 40 games. The Thunder had one guy as well, if Westbrook left as well, they would have been in the basement with the lakers. The Warriors trounced the west this year, none of the so called strong teams of the west could stand up against them, the west is and always have been represented by 2 teams, the Lakers and the Spurs, until recently with the Warriors, everyone has been average. Yes I have been a life long and long suffering Celtics fan, but I have always rooted for the Spurs in the West, I loved the way Pop coached their team, reminded me of old 80s basketball.
