I don't think so. You pretty much know where you rate teams. I think weeks 2, and 3 are the hardest, because teams you thought would be great might be doing bad, and teams you thought sucked may be undefeated. It makes you confused whether you should stick to your gut, or go with only 1 or 2 games of being proven wrong as evidence to change your opinion/answer. On a separate note, can we close registration now? I'm perfectly happy with it at 43. It'll be like a Nascar race.
That's right. There are a few setbacks to it, such as that, or seeing your week to week record, or seeing other people's picks once they're official. You get used to it though. It just sucks when you make your picks, and a starting QB gets ruled out, then you can't change your answer. It's rather un-fair which is why it's smartest to wait until Thursday. However sometimes you have that mindset, and then you forget that day, resulting in 0 points, which brings up the best argument...All the picks are due Thursday. If you miss it, you can't just take the 1 game loss, and put the rest of your picks in. You're done. You miss every game, and you're basically eliminated from the top 10. Trust me after all these years, I've learned my lesson, and have my system down lol. It's an accomplishment in itself just remembering to make your picks all 17 weeks haha. However it's awesome when you're in 7th or whatever and the person in 3rd forgets. It goes both ways.
Can I do the TNG on thursday and then wait until Sunday to make the rest of my picks? Or do I have to make every pick at once?
Not very user friendly to be honest. Kind of sucks to make those picks on a thursday when you don't even know if certain guys are going to play or not on a Sunday/Monday (injury etc.). Thanks though, I'll make my picks now.
Yep, like I said it has it's downsides, but it's free, and you can win real jets merch, so it's hard to complain lol. I got 2nd one year and got killer Jets board shorts.
Couple picks I don't feel good about. I picked Pit cuz fuck NE but boy that steeler D looks like trash. And I picked Philly but I have a gut feeling ATL will win.
The Falcons defense is horrendous. I'm expecting at least 35 Philly points. What surprised me was how the Texans are favored over the Chiefs. What is that all about? The closest one for me this week is Indy @ Buffalo
it's just that philly has been so hyped all offseason. Yea, that's another one. I picked Luck but now I feel like buffalo will win.
I went with Buffalo. Luck is good, but he makes a lot of mistakes. And with no running game, to throw the ball against that defense, I think he's gonna struggle bigtime. Hope I'm wrong though.
