More draft changes that piss me off. 2015 NFL Draft heading to Chicago, will take place from April 30th to May 2nd The NFL Draft is saying goodbye to New York, and hello to Chicago. The Chicago Bears announced via their official Twitter account on Thursday that the 2015 NFL Draft will be held in Chicago, ending a nearly 50 year stretch of it being held in New York. According to Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports, the NFL is expected to formally announced the decision at their fall meetings. As for where and when the draft will be taking place, the 2015 draft is scheduled to take place from April 30th to May 2nd, and will be held at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University. The draft will be taking place a week earlier than it did last season, a move that many expected after the decision to have it take place from May 8th to May 10th last year did not go over well with teams. Chicago was one of two finalist for the draft, which at one point included both Los Angeles and Philadelphia. The move to Chicago ends a run of having the draft in New York since 1965, and in Radio City Music Hall since 2006.
awesome. I remember rumors circulating that it was going to be pushed back again, glad that's not an issue.
Wow, I thought LA would definitely host the draft. But I'm assuming they'll get the 2016 draft, 2017 goes to NYC, and then back to Chicago.
I can't wait till the draft spans 7 days, a round a night. How great would that be, listening to Kiper and McShay make up shit for 5 hours a night for a week straight. And maybe they move it from venue to venue for each night. That would be sweet. Round 4 in Mexico City. Round 7 in Amalfi. _
Ya never know. Maybe moving the draft to Chicago will somehow change our luck and we get a real franchise QB.
We never drafted a HOF'er in any round. Other than Namath (who is in for one game). Amazing. Correction we drafted Riggins.
Darelle Revis might be a HOF'er but he got up and left like a tool. Also, Mangold a potential HOF'er?
Otto was before my time, by my dad said he was legit. What is your take on Otto v. Mangold. I can only compare Mangold to Kevin Mawae and I think Mangold is better. But when you think about it this franchise has never drafted a player and eventually turned him into a hall of famer. Crazy.
