Taken from ESPN.com/New York: Throw in a 6 game improvement and you can't escape the conclusion that the Jets are better today than they've been since 2010. Obviously Todd Bowles must be doing something right..Still, there will always be those that prefer 4-12....
Offsides penalties probably went down 200%, although Sheldon did pick a terrible time to get one out of his system (week 17).
Ahh, the penalties weren't my favorites....My favorite related topic was the famous Rex "why am I being penalized" look. It's much different from the "I can't believe I just wasted a time out" look or "I can't believe that back-asswards play didn't execute properly" look.
total pentalies where down... which is obviously good. but i can call a team that constantly fumbles, constantly screws up on special teams and who constantly hate late or back breaking penalites a team that is a "model of discipline"
I scrolled up on this article and enjoyed it ... thx for posting it Cman we could use some positivity
Coming so close to the playoffs and missing out was a bummer. Other than that though, it really was a fun season.
The Jets were 8th in the league for fewest fumbles per game. You're still butt hurt about Rex, obviously.
Bowles and the coaching staff did an excellent job with the personnel they had on hand. We'll need improvement both in the coaching and the personnel to get to the next level. The discipline the Jets showed on the field this year is a very positive indicator.
Not all fumbles are equal. i think we can reasonably say that whena qb is strip sacked from behind, that is a fumble that the qb cant really avoid. most of our fumbles came from WR/Returners/Ball carriers. those are much less acceptable. how many times were our WR stripped of the ball? im really not sure what rex has to do with anything.
My favorite is Rex Ryan having a press conference to proclaim Clyde Gates is ALL THE WAY BACK from injury and ready to dominate the NFL. Upon hearing this, most fans exclaim "Clyde who?"
