Many would argue that there is very little to be thankful for when it comes to the Jets, and rightfully so. Yet it's that time of year to perhaps remind ourselves that football is just a game, the Jets are just one of many teams under duress, and life, thankfully and mercifully, goes on with much more to offer than the ups and down of a struggling football team. So, good or bad, football gets trumped by the reminder of how blessed we are to live in a free country, allowing us the opportunity to go about our business in peace and without fear, with the freedom to express ourselves and enjoy life to the fullest, including of course watching football with our family, around the dinner table, sharing memories of better seasons gone by. I'm thankful that there is always hope and opportunity, and thankful for everything this country has given us. My special thanks and best wishes goes to all the great Jet fan's in the armed forces around the world risking their lives to keep us free and secure. May you come home soon and safe. To all the TTG members a Happy Thanksgiving and may the wish of a better Jet's team come true. Soon if not sooner.
I am grateful I have been so busy I have missed 3 games.... It's clearly bad when I am looking forward to baseball!!! Have a great Thanksgiving all .... Roll on free agency !
I am thankful the Jets got a win early and erased any ideas of them finishing 0-16 and that the Rex Ryan era is ending.
I'm thankful for the few bright spots on this team that are busting their asses despite knowing that it's for naught.
i'm thankful I wasn't stupid enough to buy psl's...... i'm thankful I didn't waste money and time and attend any games this year..... i'm thankful I don't have to pay for two preseason games next year because of season ticket demands..... i'm thankful for this thread....because I feel much better now....
Im thankful the Geno Smith experiment is over. Not that I didnt root for him. I root for all Jets QB's. But it was a flop and im done.
Thankful I'm not a Canadian, non championship winning, bills fan, a teal color dolphag fan or New England chowder, cameras rolling, cheatriot fan
I'm thankful for TheGangGreen.com itself. I love this site, and it's always here with interesting things to read, and a place to voice my opinion.
I would have said "that I am not a Browns fan" but even they have more to cheer that we do ATM I have plenty to be thankful for but as a Jets fan, yeah, nothing springs to mind (I am sort of glad that they are coming to the UK next year but also kind of annoyed I am going to end up spending a fair bit of money to go watch them get their asses handed to them (unless something miraculous happens at the QB spot between now and then)
I'm thankful this is the last season Rex and Vick will be part of the Jets. I'm hopeful that Idzik is fired and Smith traded so they are no longer part of the team in 2015.
That I've got my family with me and they are healthy of course. And that this miserable season is winding down.
