Triangle! Rebuilding year, will be interesting to see if Dolan actually stays out of the way and allows Phil and Derek to do what they do. Knicks should make the bottom 4 of the East and make the playoffs, the East isn't stacked like the West. Will be interesting to see Pablo, Jose, and Larkin run the triangle and how the defense works. All should be getting open shots. Fisher was saying the other week that the Knicks defense in the past funneled people to the middle of the court to Tyson, this year they are going to be more typical and try to funnel people to the sidelines The Knicks defense will still be a problem as they have several average to below average defenders on the court at the same time. One thought is that Melo's scoring will drop, that's not necessarily true. Melo will still get his shots in the triangle, the idea is that they will come less contested than in the past. Melo likened the the offense when having the ball as a QB going through reads. You don't have time to stare down the defense, you need to know your first, second, and third move. http://www.coachesclipboard.net/TriangleOffense.html http://www.nba.com/knicks/schedule Bulls on Wednesday night follow by Cavs on Thursday night.
The Knicks are playing like they still have Mike Woodson as their coach. Looks like more of the same. No continuity, no defense, and them being lackadaisical. I need the Knicks not to be horrendous this year. I really need them not to be. From the Mets, to the Jets I need something good to happen with at least one of my sports team. I don't how much more I can endure.
Good bounce back win right there. Although, James was actually human in this game. Can't expect that for long haha
People were going absolutely crazy on radio today about this win. It was a nice win but everyone needs to relax. It was their first game together and lebrons first back at home. Very happy w a split between those 2. We play okc in a few weeks and they will be without Westbrook and Durant so that helps
Going to be like this all season, lots of ups and downs. It's going to be fun to see Fisher learning on the job. Also, Acy might go into the random Knicks player hall of fame if he plays more games like that against top opponents
My opinion might be influenced by the honeymoon period, but I'm really digging Fisher as a coach. He's called timeouts at the right times and he hasn't been afraid to tinker with the lineups. I'm looking forward to seeing how he handles the ups and downs as the season goes on.
The Knicks offense looks more like other NBA offenses which is a good step haha. I really like keeping Melo fresh (so far) for the 4th. Be interesting to see the rotation with Bargs and Jose back.
The team has looked competitive and has fought with guts the last 2 games...tonight they would have lost this one under Woodson
Wizards put the clamps on the Knicks offense in the 3rd quarter. Just a ton of on the ball pressure. Wizards hit some shots too. Melo had a poor game, lots of turnovers which is kind of rare. Fisher should learn from this.
Anyone watch the last couple games? I was only able to check the box score, is this one of those Melo is ice cold stretches? Always happens once or twice a year.
polar vortex cold. haven't watched entire games, you can only watch 12-15' j's rimming out for so long before you have to change the channel
