Caps miss Dale Hunter's defense with a 6-3 loss in Tampa. Manti Te'o saw his girlfriend more than I saw Ovechkin tonight. Oh well. 47 games to go.

Leafs are 2-1 playing the Isles at home tonight, could be 3-1 before the end of the night. Obviously still very early but much better than I anticipated. Honestly should have won the Buffalo game as well but Ryan Miller has our number.

Play you guys (I assume most people on here are Rangers fans) and not expecting a win out of that. But, yeah, generally speaking pretty pleased with how their season has started.

Oilers talented but dumb. Can vets Horcoff, Smyth, Jones and Hemsky step it up?

    No idea what to expect.

We ended the Sharks' hot start. I really strongly dislike the Sharks.

Islanders don't look too bad, lots of young talent.

Ovi looks like a 3rd line player now. Think he lost his love for playing the game.

Makes me sick to say, but something is not right for sure. Now the Caps are last place in the Eastern Conference too. Not looking good in DC. I heard reports that Ovechkin was looking great in the KHL too, so he may just not love playing in DC anymore. I don't know.

What a joke the Islanders are!!!

In danger of going under the Salary cap floor, they trade for Tim Thomas.. who's definetely not going to play, so their cheap ass owner doesn't have to actually pay him.

But his $5 Million counts on the salary cap so they can avoid getting in trouble with the league for not reaching the salary cap FLOOR. They give up a conditional 2nd round pick. Conditional if he actually plays - which he won't. SO bascially nothing.

They are taking advantage of a loophole just so they can remain really, really cheap and not be held accountable for it. What a joke!

The Bruins on the other hand are pressed against the cap so they get rid of a guy who's not playing, giving them a nice buffer to make another move - for absolutely nothing.

It's crap like this why I hate the NHL sometimes. Two freakin lockouts in less than 10 years and they still don't fix stuff like this. It ruins the game.

Loved Barry Trotz speaking up for Shea Weber this week. Great to see he's still passionate after so many years in the job.

Trotz is a very solid HC. He gets the most out of his guys.

Oilers young guys really showing flashes. Justin Schultz wow.

The Caps are currently the WORST team in the NHL (points-wise) yet 5 points out of first place in the Southeast Division. 36 games to go too. They have looked pretty bad, but I still think there is time for them to fix it.

 That was pretty funny. And, as a Caps fan, I can also say that it is sadly accurate.
