For those of you (myself included) who are using Invisible Mode...please turn it off during the draft. It will make it easier on the rest of us if we can see you online.

    thanks.

    I told him anytime after 8 P.M.

We're not OTC, so it's his call.

He did send me a PM earlier that he will pick tonight.

I'm giving Clausen another chance, might draft some competition, but he's my QB heading into the season.

Dareus can be a force up the middle, he's got the thick lower body to anchor, yet nimble feet to rush the QB. A true dancing bear. Rivera acted like a kid in a candy store at Bama's Pro Day, he couldn't find enough things to drill MD in.

And now Carolina's SEC D-Line can rival Kansas City's...

It's always nice when the best player in the draft is available and happens to fill a massive need. Welcome to Denver, Nick.

top 2 picks DT's after a year when 2 DT's went in the top 3. Boy has there been some serious talent at that position integrated into the league these past 2 drafts.

    It's all what's your preference.

IMO, Dareus will be the better pro, but Fairley isn't exactly chopped liver.

Fairley was clearly the best defensive player in 2010.

Only thing that really kept me from drafting Fairley, to be quite honest, is his legs. They just don't fit him, they are too thin. You need a strong base to hold up in the middle, and I don't know if Fairley can cut it when Centers and Guards push back.

I agree with the thought that Fairley should have been asked to drop 30-40 Lbs and play DE, he would be a monster, even more than he is at DT...

With what John Fox will be able to do, I'm really not very concerned about whatever physical limitations people may label Nick with. The kid can get knocks for this and that, skinny legs, poor interviews on satellite radio, reports that he likes chips ahoy better than those outstanding Keebler fudge stripe cookies, etc., but all I know is that this kid is an absolute force of nature.

I think he's still got some room to improve, specifically in terms of an NFL weight training program as well as some cleaning up of his technique considering his height, but you simply won't find very many kids 300 lbs with his football skills. He has feet like a running back, devastating passrush moves, and is pretty much too explosive for a good majority of OL to handle. The idea of putting him on a line with Elvis Dumervil has me giddy, and I think getting his hand back on the ground can only help Robert Ayers. Fox wants a passrush, and having Nick (and a healthy Elvis) will do exactly that.

Like I've said before(and everyone else), I liken it to the Suh-McCoy debate, you can't really go wrong, although they are on a lower tier. Suh had a better first year, but it's not about that, it's about having a better career.

I actually had the chance to meet and talk with Dareus a few weeks ago, I came away impressed. How (no homo preface)thick he was, yet carried it so well...

I certainly have no problem with Dareus, and I think he can be a tremendous player (and because of his frame/build a better fit in a 34). I can understand some people liking him more than Fairley in a 1 vs. 1a scenario, it's just that I have it solidly as 1 and 2 in favor of Fairley.
