If we lose to the Pats, after a shortened week we could lose to anybody. I have us winning both but it's not crazy to think we could lose both, either. Denver's always tough at home.
Don't predict a doomed outcome because of your core. You said it yourself you think they could be a 12 win team. Pick those 4 games that you were shaky with when making your predictions, and show some faith. If you end up wrong at the end of it all, so did everyone else. What do you have to lose?

My exact reasons for us losing to Denver. They were unlucky to not beat us last year. Orton is good enough to keep our D on their toes and a short week going 3/4's of the way across the country for a night game at altitude.
Week 1 vs. Dallas (SNF) - W --- Romo can't find time to throw, and no is open anyway. Whitten gets the same scheme from january that took Brady's weapons away. Week 2 vs. Jacksonville - W --- Gerrard or Blaine aren't going to do shit, and neither is MDJ for once. Week 3 @ Oakland -W --- still shitty. Week 4 @ Baltimore (SNF) -W -- Since the CS doesn't chain sanchez down this time, the offense will actually score points. Redemption is had. And Flacco is terrible. Week 5 @ New England -L --- If this was a home game, the Jets would have started 5-0 Week 6 vs. Miami (MNF) - W -- that loss fixed some issue which allows the win to happen. Week 7 vs. San Diego - W --- they can't play on the road. Week 9 @ Buffalo - L --- I have the Jets splitting with all of the divisional opponents. Records and talent don't matter with divisional rivalries. Week 10 vs. New England (SNF) -W --- Sanchez and Rex shine in primetime this year Week 11 @ Denver (TNF) - W --- Devner sucks.... Week 12 vs. Buffalo - W --- as do the Bills.... Week 13 @ Washington -W --- Rex Grossman too.... Week 14 vs. Kansas City - W --- don't forget Todd Haley... Week 15 @ Philadelphia - W... The Jets are responsible for Michael Vick imploding for the rest of the year, and then in the first round of the playoffs... He just wasn't right since facing Rex's defense. Week 16 vs. NYG (12/24) - W --- They have nothing to play for, the Jets do. This game wasn't fair. Week 17 @ Miami - L --- They rested the starters. Final Record - 13-3[/QUOTE] Minus Philly, the Pats (2x), Baltimore, and SD, the rest of those teams are cupcake pieces of shit. This team has no excuse but to beat the living shit out of everyone.
I myself frequently give in to peer pressure, that is how I got addicted to crack cocaine and heroin. You are right, it didn't change me at all, I was a thief, liar and murderer at heart. Welcome aboard, Her Panzer, ...........
In making a prediction, based on my (admittedly) pessimistic view of certain aspects of the teams talent and coaching composition and circumstances, I have nothing to lose one way or the other. My prediction holds no power. Expressing "faith" or not, the outcome of the games themselves will (thankfully) have nothing to do with me, or my predictions or beliefs. I don't see making a prediction as an act of faith, or lack therof. I see it as simply expressing what you think is the most likely outcome of events, what you think will happen, like it or not. In this case, after two AFC Championship games, and the changes in talent (and lack of changes at some coaching spots), I truly think we're in for a step back in 2011, not a step forward. If I were to express faith, I am no longer making a prediction, I would be expressing a desire, expressing hope (or faith, if one prefers). And if thats the topic, then my desire is (as I would guess all Jets fans is) a 16 win perfect season followed by a triumphant romp through the playoffs, topped by a domination of a Super Bowl win. One of my lifelong dreams would then be fulfilled. I don't predict that as the outcome, however. But I sure do hope for it.

Week 1 vs. Dallas (SNF) - Win Week 2 vs. Jacksonville - Win Week 3 @ Oakland - Win Week 4 @ Baltimore (SNF) - Win The Jets are a good matchup against Baltimore. Even with the additions of Evans and Doss, I don't think Flacco will have an easy time passing on this defense. On the other hand, unless Smith impresses early, I can see the Jets' air attack making an impact on their secondary. Week 5 @ New England - Loss In my opinion, the Jets will not sweep the regular season series against New England. It'll be too difficult. Week 6 vs. Miami (MNF) - Win Week 7 vs. San Diego - Win Don't see how this game presents any more of a challenge than the playoff game a couple years back. Week 9 @ Buffalo - Win Week 10 vs. New England (SNF) -Win The Pats won't come into the Jets' house and beat them on national TV to sweep the series. Week 11 @ Denver (TNF) - Win I get the rationale that it's a short week after a tough game, but Denver is awful. I think the Jets will find a way to pull it out again. Week 12 vs. Buffalo - Win Week 13 @ Washington -Win Week 14 vs. Kansas City - Loss I think the Jets get surprised by a balanced offense and formidable defense from an unfamiliar opponent. Week 15 @ Philadelphia - Win The Jets present a nightmare matchup for Philly. They have both the secondary to neutralize their high-flying offense and the running game to exploit their weaknesses at linebacker. This is also the kind of game where a double tight-end set with Keller and Cumberland can murder the opposition. I can't really think of a formula within reason that Philly can use to win this game, regardless of where it's played. Week 16 vs. NYG (12/24) - Win A depleted Giants squad won't want it with the Jets, even this late in the season. Week 17 @ Miami - Loss The Jets already have the division wrapped up and are resting their starters. I don't see New England going 14-2 again, but I've been wrong before. Overall record: 13-3 (first in the AFC East)

While the Denver game is a bit of a guess I don't think the Jets go through the season without being upset somewhere. Very few teams do, and Sanchez is not mature enough yet to go through a season without coughing up a hairball.
