8:00 EST, August 8th, on NBC. Cowboys @ Bengals I thought the first game of the 2010 season (and Other Preseason Games I guess) deserved it's own thread, I'm just dying to watch some football. We won't have a weekend without an NFL game for 6 months starting today. EDIT: At 7pm there is a Jets Special on SNY, which will lead right up to this game at 8pm on NBC.
I'm so pumped! Are you ready for some football? BTW, T.O.'s second straight HOF Game. He's 0-2 in HOF Games. Take Dallas..... LOL....
Hall of Fame Game records Bengals 1-1 Cowboys 0-3 my favorite Hall of Fame Game memories- 1. Jets WR Vincent Brownlee spiked the ball between the goal line and the 5-yard line in the Jets 41-14 victory over the Eagles in 1992. He had thought he was in the end zone but was a few yards shy. It was one of the classic gaffes in NFL history, but gets overlooked because it was in a preseason game. Brownlee was an 8th round pick by the Jets that year, but never found his way into a regular season game. 2. The Falcons and Chargers wearing throwback uniforms in the 1994 game. This was back when teams didn't wear throwback uniforms. That year the NFL celebrated its 75th season and that was the first time we really saw teams wear throwback uniforms, so it was a treat. That's it for me.
I'll be going to almost every single Carolina Panthers home game for the same reasons. I plan on using a DVR to record Jets' games if they play at the same time. ...sadly, I won't be in many game threads to attack the idiot mobs. Jets vs. Panthers preseason game in a few weeks!
If they play at the same time won't you find out the Jets score at the game before you watch it? I wouldn't be able to do that...
It would be darn near impossible to not notice the score. I am assuming Bank of America Stadium has out of town scores somewhere. Then you'd also have to deal with fans near you who might be following the other scores on the radio or their cell phone. You may overhear them talking about other games.
Scoring updates will be impossible to ignore - especially now that I'm playing in a few money fantasy football leagues. However, I'll still want to watch the games.
Football is Back I'm psyched there's finally a football game on. We are officially underway. The first pre-season game is always a huge milestone towards the regular season. It's been a longgggggg offseason. YESSS
Preseason football sucks my left nut, but I still get excited and watch a weeks worth or so just to fill the void.

I'm watching NBC and they're showing some kind of weird game. Bunch of Hall of Famers, celebrities, and assorted others playing. Kurt Warner sacked by Maria Menonous. Warner's team getting blown out. Michael Irvin so far has dropped an easy pass and then tripped over himself. Now he's claiming he turned an ankle. ok, game is called madden 11 pigskin pro-am
this is the best football theme... it got it's own thread last year... it always gets me so pumped up... i want to hit someone when i hear this song
ESPNU has been playing college bowl games from the 1980s- to 2009. Check there if you have the channel everyday. Was watching alot of David Harris today. this song makes me want to stab people.
Yup. this was without a doubt the longest offseason ever. I remember back in like march just sitting their like ugghhh. then april. then may. then minicamp in june and it was stil like ugghh 2 more months just for preseason but finaly here.
Haha did anyone see the T.O. and Ochocinco interview when they said "I'm Batman" "And I'm Robin" It was so obviously planned and poorly executed..but funny
JoJoseph, Leon Hall, and Pacman Jones could be the only CB trio to rival the Jets in the NFL. I'd still take the Jets, but if Jones pans out that could be a great trio.
