The Vikings will be rushing hard with Jared Allen and Ray Edwards from the ends. Dallas have been mediocre on 3rd downs and the Minnesota defense have been great at getting off the field on 3rd down. It will be important for the Cowboys to get short yardage 3rd down chances and Romo will need to convert. Minnesota Adrian Peterson - Peterson will need to be able to run the ball well. An effective running game will take the pressure off Brett Favre. NO FUMBLES. Notes: The Cowboys won their first playoff game since 1996 - (when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings 40-15) last week by beating the Eagles. Favre has struggled against Wade Phillips' defenses in the past. Unless Minny turns the ball over, I think AP will be too much for the Cowgirls to handle. Romo will not like their pass rush. The Dallas hot streak ends
Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't less about Peterson running the ball well, which we all know he can do, and more about whether Brett calls a running play or not? :breakdance:
Peterson will need to run well which we DO know he can do, but it won't be the easiest thing for them to do. It will be imperative though that he does not fumble the ball. The Vikings offense will be mostly about getting him going.
Peterson has failed to reach 100 yards in 7 straight games and the Dallas defense has not allowed a 100 yard rusher all season. Not that they are definitely going to shut him down, but they have handled the run all year. He handled the Eagles vaunted pass rush and blitz schemes quite well two weeks in a row.
I agree entirely, I hate the Pokes with a passion, they are scum, but the Vikes get no love from me with Favre behind center. I really hope he implodes big time.
