Ryan Church calls out Francesa http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/baseball/mets/blog/2009/02/church_vs_francesa.html http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/mets/archives/2009/02/emptying_the_no.html I have high hopes for both Murphy and Nick Evans this year.
Adam Dunn to the Nationals (2 year/20 million) and Bobby Abreu to the Angels (1 year/5 million). Dodgers seem to be bidding against themselves for Manny. I think this is the team more or less we go into the season with.
This franchise never stops amazing me as to never being proactive when it comes to potential problems, with one of those guys in a cheap contract like those and our lineup has a lot less questions in it. But now we will have to suffer with an inconsistant lineup for the 3rd year in a row.
The 2009 Spring Training broadcast schedule begins Thursday, Feb. 26 at 1:10 p.m. with SNY’s and WFAN’s play-by-play coverage of the Mets Grapefruit League home opener against the Marlins from Tradition Field. WFAN will carry 10 total games, SNY will televise 16 games this season, while WPIX 11 will televise four weekend games. SNY’s first spring broadcast will be on February 26 when the Mets take on the Florida Marlins at 1 pm.
Just as a baseball fan the Dunn contract amazes me. The guy is good for 40 hrs and 100+ walks every year and the best offer he gets is 20/2 from the Nationals? Really? The guy is 28.
Your man love for Dunn knows no limits. (Just sayin) Second year in a row I'm missing spring training and it's a damn shame. I can get the WFAN broadcast through I-tunes... wonder if that works during spring training games? Murph is the man!!
Dunn will be a DH after Wshngtn's had enough of him. He might be a good fit for the 2011 Texas Rangers.

The talk is that Manuel is going to try Murphy as the starter on LF against both lefties and righties
