1st round: Darren Mcfadden: i am not a huge fan of taking him here but this kid is the next AP and if the pats pick him we wont win the divison for the next 10 years. he is unstoppable. I know we need o-line and d-line but there is really no one worth taking this high at those postions. i know RB isnt the biggest needs but we will have our AP if we pick Mcfadden 2nd round: Jeff Otah: we need help on the Oline and i see us getting a good LG in the FA but we need to get a good RT in the draft. 2nd round pick from the lions for Vilma: Chris Ellis: Gives this LB unit a little more depth. would allow hobson to move in side and ILB and Chris Ellis could fill hobsons OLB spot. 3rd round pick: Dre Moore we do need help on the dline and if we add dre moore it would add a good rotation. i could see us signing a big FA addition to help the DL (i.e Albert Hansworth)
Well, I'm torn with what we should do with our first pick. There are arguments for Chris Long and there are arguments for DMac. There will be a few other names to emerge as we get closer to April (which is in 5 months by the way people, so lets all slow down a little with the draft talk, lol). As others have stated, we need to wait to see what happens in Free Agency and if we blow some bank to get some talented players to fill our holes. Perhaps re-doing your draft by accounting for free agency would round your draft out more. Cheers.
You never know...Darnell Bing, the safety from USC, was supposed to be a top 10 pick at one point, and he ended up being the 101st pick. Also, Quinton Moses was supposed to be a Top 10 or Top 15 pick, and he slid all the way into the third round. The draft always has surprises.
The thing is both of those players dropped for a reason and havent done anything but get cut from teams. So if Dre Moore falls i dont think we should be the team to draft him. I do agree with the picks of McFadden and Moore though what would be perfect though is if we got Quentin Groves and Kirk Barton as the other picks though.
