Heres a little something I put together. Next year looks to be quite special, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Major depth among all the positions, but especially at RB. Ive listed the top 5 prospects at QB, RB, WR, and OT, plus a runner-up, just for good measure. Enjoy

    TOP 5 OVERALL
    RB Adrian Peterson
    WR Calvin Johnson
    OT Sam Baker
    QB Brady Quinn
    WR Dwayne Jarrett

    QB
Brady Quinn (SR)- the consensus #1 quarterback going into 2007
Chad Henne (JR)- the Michigan quarterback has started since freshman year
Drew Stanton (SR)- had a spectacular year and should continue to improve
Brian Brohm (JR)- the most accurate of the bunch
Jordan Palmer (SR)- severly underrated signal-caller who puts up spectacular #s
*Drew Tate (SR)*- drops due to his extremely small frame, but a very productive player

    RB
Adrian Peterson (JR)- a better prospect than Reggie Bush at this point in his career. A dominating runner in between the tackles
Marshawn Lynch (JR)- an electrifying player with superb speed and agility
Michael Bush (SR)- a superb talent, but his size and running style might hurt him at the next level
Alley Broussard (JR)- might be rated a bit high, but if healthy, has the potential to be a special player. Combines great size with superb speed
Kenny Irons (SR)- stepped in for Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams and put up great numbers
*Garrett Wolfe (JR)*- ultra-productive player who will be limited at the next level due to his lack of size

    WR
Calvin Johnson (JR)- has all the tools you look for. One of the best pass catchers to come out in a while
Dwayne Jarrett (JR)- soft hands with a great size/speed ratio and the production to back it up
Jeff Smardzija (SR)- integral part of ND’s potent offense and Brady Quinn’s go-to-guy
Tedd Ginn Jr (JR)- may be a bit overrated but with Santonio Holmes out of the picture, Ginn will become the go-to-receiver and excel
Jarrett Hicks (SR) had a down season but should bounce back and put up #s similar to those he had 2 years ago
*Ryne Robinson (SR)* a small but quick receiver who has been very productive thus far

    OT
Sam Baker (SR)- one of the better overall tackles to come out in recent times
Joe Thomas (SR)- Wisconsin tackle with huge upside
Justin Blalock (SR)- a dominating tackle who may have to move to guard at the next level
Jake Long (SR)- absolute mammoth of a right tackle
Ryan Harris (SR)- undersized but very strong in pass protection; guards Brady Quinn’s blindside
*Levi Brown (SR)*- a punishing run blocker

Calvin Johnson is not coming out. I am a GT fan and he has said every year that he is staying all four years.

We gotta get our hands on either Jarret or Johnson at WR. I think even if Clemens and Washington don't pan out, the FO isn't going to give up on them after one year. Jarret and Johnson are what we need, a big strong WR who can go get the ball. They would both compliment Coles very well.

I'd have put my own rankings in there, but it's pretty much the exact same things for most of em. I'm really excited about all the WR talent that's going to be available.

Isnt Jarrett from NJ? Not that it matters come draft day, but the Jets brought D'Brick home....

    Yep, New Brunswick.

And if 1028 doesn't mind, I'm going to do a defensive version of this.

The way I see it, the more the merrier. It is going to be a long offseason so I'd like to see as much opinions as possible.

Exactly what I was going to say, but the original post saying Peterson is better than Bush is a bit of a reach.

He is also self-proclaimed as the best WR in football... when he has a chance at top 5 and at worse top 10 money I don't think a guy like him has what it takes to turn it down.

I agree with your list for the most part but I would put Levi Brown at 3rd and move everyone down a slot. He's the only PSU returning OL and he'll show his worth throughout the season.

I would expect a Penn State fan to say that :breakdance:

I was debating whether to put Brown above Harris but IMO thats the most he should go. I dont see him as a better prospect than Blalock or Long, at least not yet, but by no means am I underestimating him either

Exactly... when Calvin Johnson sees he's a top 5 pick on everyone's mock board he'll come out.
