When will we receive information on who will be competing in the 2007 Home Run Derby? I hope Griffey is one of them get his his 4th victory in it
What a bitch. Normally I'm against guys taking part in things like this because it throws off their swing for a week or two after the break, but after all the BS hoopla surrounding him, and how it would be "wrong" for him not to get voted into the game, he should be participating in this tournament. It's in front of his home crowd, and he's going to be the all-time HR king this year. Just another reason to add to the list of why to hate Barry Bonds. I would LOVE to see him get seriously injured in the All Star game, and never get to finish the record.
Chill out hotshot The derby can screw with a guys swing, and when you get up in to the late years of your career, especially when its as stressful as his, he has no need to participate in it. If its acceptable for Jr to skip out, its acceptable for bonds too. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure if he were to participate, that would make him the oldest player in a HR derby. His body simply can't handle it, and if this wasn't most likely his last year, and in his home, he would be better off skipping the whole AS game too.

Thankfully not. Bonds is a jerk. I dont like him but he could of created a feel good moment for him and baseball but he chooses to pass. If he is not physically able to perform then just show up to be the home town and give what you can but not too hard to aggravate anything.
I seriously hate Derek Jeter but I don't wish that he be seriously injured. You took to a whole new level. That is straight up f'ed up.
hahah...I agree with Alio...I wouldnt mind seeing Bonds break his leg sliding into 2nd during the game and never seeing the field again.
