What's wrong with Santonio Holmes? I had them take Mathias because thats a pretty big need for them.

Dominique probably shouldn't be in there...I got a little tired of doing it at the end, but I do think a TE at that pick isn't a stretch...

some things that stood out to me

    - I like Ernie Sims, but #11 seems quite high for him

    - Manny Lawson is a terrible fit for the Eagles since he isn't a 4-3 LB

    - As much as I'd like to see it happen, the Dolphins would be insane to take Chad Jackson over Jimmy Williams

    - After all the signings they made at DB (Madison, McQuarters, etc.) I can't see the Giants going CB in round 1. With all the LB issues they had, for them not to take one in 1st two rounds would be indefensibely if I was a Giants fan.

not bad but sooo many things wrong... moss will go earlier, jacobs later, justice MUCH later, broncos will take williams, we will take maroney, etc..
a huge part of the draft is taking players in the latest possible round that you can get them in, which is why many teams will miss out on players that they want... this is where predicting the draft becomes impossible

Yeah, Giants are going to look LB. Jets aren't going to draft a RB.

Why would the 49er take Davis, they have a pretty good tight end out there

the Jets would absolutely take Deangelo if he fell to 29 - but unfortunately he'll be scooped up by the jags at the very latest.

You're right about one thing, he would be a terrible pick for the Eagles. But you are wrong about the reason. He can't play 4-3 LB but he can play 4-3 End. Unfortunately, the Eagles have Kearse and Howard earning top buck to be there ends and I doubt they would want to tab a first round pick with a similar salary when they have other needs (WR, RB, OL, DT, LB).
I think one of the wide receivers or Greenway would be a much better pick.

Not really, Eric Johnson had a good year two years ago but was injured like the whole year last year.

Eric Johnson is a huge injury concern and Davis could also play flanker... 2 TE sets are a possibility too.

To add what has been said already: The Cowboys pick is horrific. They drafted 2 DLs in the 1st round last year including Ware who is their 3-4 tweener and then they drafted Chris Canty in the mid-rounds and the team likes him. The one thing completely settled is the defensive line and the tweener... but help at LB, S, OL are still needed. Have them take Eric Winston or Marcus McNeill.

I love your mock draft for the Jets. Sadly I think that it's a lot of wishful thinking.
