Anyone think these two penalties were legit? It seems like Vick crying earlier in the year bought him 2 flags on 2 hits that happened a split second after he threw the ball. I didnt see any launching or helmet to helmet. The early false start on Hunter was brutal too considering the Eagles were in the neutral zone. Im never one to blame officials but they were god awful today in the first half. Not the reason this team lost but certainly contributed to it....
I didn't really have a problem with the penalty on Hunter but the two roughing calls were bogus, the second one especially. Pretty shitty job by the refs on top of everything else that went wrong today.
Well if they had called the similar hit on Sanchez that hurt him, I would say they were. However, I think the one on Sanchez was much more blatant.
That was such a strange play. It looked like the defender tried to let up but he still went helmet to helmet on Sanchez, then hung on him and eventually brought him down after the pass was well out of his hand.
I thought they were both terrible but the second one especially! When did just hitting the QB running out of the pocket become a roughing the passer penalty??
The second one was total bs. Vick lowered his head that is the only reason there was contact with the helmets.
I'm sure the Jet's D was warned ahead of time that Vic was playing with sore ribs and that ANY contact would not be tolerated. You can't give Vick a 3-pt vegas spread AND allow the other team to touch him. Duh.

No problem they made the calls as long as they call it the same on both sides which they didn't. Sanchez must have done something to piss of the refs this season. Maybe they all have 17 year old daughters.
I also loved Babin dragging Sanchez to the ground 5 seconds after he threw the ball, and also the helmet to helmet that fucked up his jaw. Really great job today by the refs.
To bad they didn't have dogs, 2 penaltys didn't cost us the game though. The whole team didn't show up today so blame Rex.

The 2 penalties for hitting Vick were BS and we saw multiple head shots to Sanchez w/ no call. That didn't cost us the game but it is becoming a complete joke that we can't hit opposing QBs legally but opponents can hit our QB illegally.
If Ryan or Sanchez isn't going to bitch about it, it will keep on happening. I seen it throughout a lot of games yesterday, not just the Jets game.
