With Brees going to the Saints, its almost inevitable that an elite QB prospect will be available when the Jets pick at 4. Whether we trade up for Leinart or stay put and take Young or Cutler I think the Jets have to take a QB in the 1st round. He can be groomed while Chad plays or come off the bench if he has to. While I hope Chad can come back, theres no question we need an insurance policy at QB, and theres no better policy than a franchise QB. I dont care if its Leinart's intangibles, Young's athletisicm, or Culter's arm strenghth, any will do for me. Just please take one of them so I never have to see Bollinger or a dud like Ramsey under center for the Jets ever again!

i dont want it to be, but i'm beginning to think that it may be.

Unless we trade down & stockpile picks (as long as we stay in the top 15 picks). That would be my ideal thing - draft O-Lineman, maybe Vernon Davis, some D a little later, get Ramsey with a 6th or 7th round pick. Worry aobut a QB early in next years draft

Hey, I agree with you. I think we take Leinart or Cutler. But don't fart on Brooksie. He's a young kid and didn't expect to see any action. And he wasn't as bad as your average 4th stringer.

This years QB class is way better than next years will be, the only can't miss i guy I can see coming out is Brady Quinn and we'd have to have a top 3 pick to nab him. And the more I think about it the less I want Ramsey, if he couldn't flourish in an offense with great recivers and clinton portis in the backfield what makes you think he will work here?

    a) Brian Brohm - good QB next year.
    b) when he was starting they didnt have a great offense around him. I'm not saying that he'll be amazing, but he can hold the reigns for a year or two while grooming a rookie next year.

For me Young is exactly what this team needs, he has raw talent and our coaching staff can still mold him into what they want. Yes there is a risk but what prospect except for Bush doesnt raise questions.
