There are a handful of 1st-round worthy prospects still available in 2nd round, [5, to be exact] and Jets will be able to snag one of them - that's inevitable - because Jets pick at 5th.

    Remaining guys are:

    1. Randy Gregory, OLB
    2. La'el Collins, OT
    3. Landon Collins, SS
    4. Jalen Collins, CB
    5. Eddie Goldman, DT

As long as it's not Goldman, I would be excited if Jets grab any of them.

[Specifically, I am looking at La'el Collins and Randy Gregory.]

    Thoughts?

A lot of Collins last names, ha.

I think you have to go offense with the 2nd round pick. I can see La'el Collins being the pick.

Unless we're doing BPA again; we need deep end speed. Strong is just another Decker/Marshall type.

It doesn't have to be a WR. Just saying if we are going to draft a WR we should be looking at a guy that stretches the field and can open things up for the guys we already have (Decker, Marshall, Amaro, Kerley…etc.), who like to work more in the short and intermediate part of the field. Devin Smith fits that bill; though I think 37 might be to high for him. I personally would go Ajayi as no amount of WRs will improve our passing game as long as our QB situation remains the same. With the defense we have, I think we are going to have more of a ball control offense. Ajayi would make a bigger impact with his running, pass catching out of the flat and pass protection.

Devin Smith before Strong, like legler said he is another guy we already have. I just don't know about DGB or Gregory or Collins (OL) all are too risky. I'm taking Fisher from Oregon or Harold from Virginia.

My money is on corner or d-line.

Landon Collins looks like a strong safety but his mother looks like a linebacker.

    So the list goes like:

    1. Randy Gregory, OLB
    2. La'el Collins, OT
    3. Landon Collins, SS
    4. Jalen Collins, CB
    5. DGB
    6. Jaelen Strong

Right? Jets are sure to land one of them - so that's a happy thought.

i'm not touching la'el collins in the 2nd round and there is honestly no need to. it seems most teams won't draft him right now

I'd put DGB at #2 if we're disregarding troubled situations

I didn't put them in order of preference. If that was the case, it would go like:

    1. Randy Gregory
    2. Dorial Green Beckham
    3. Jaelen Strong

RB - Tevin Coleman one of several that could go here

DGB lasted 32 picks, the odds are good that he lasts another 5 more picks.

No need to apologize, my friend. :)

I wasn't clear with the ordering either so no harm done there.

That said, I am starting to like Williams pick more. Jets need to make 2 good picks tomorrow - so I hope they do just that.

Book it, we like defense. Offense is just something we technically have to do sometimes.

I'd change the OLB to Harold, the OT to Donovan Smith, and the S to FS Randall
would also add RB to that list, as there are some really good ones out there

agree on Strong though. he'd be a nice pickup
