Assuming that the 1st three picks go Bush, Fergusion or Williams, Leinart. The Jets should pick in this order depending on who's left: Ferguson (fits our greatest need- OL), Mario Williams(6-7,290, 4.7, not much else needed to say), A.J. Hawk(if jets switch to 3-4 fits into LB corps-hobson, barton, vilma, and hawk) . The Jets should move up with their 29 to get deangelo williams- P.S., Who do the Jets always draft a DL first round (Abraham,Ellis, Thomas, Robertson)?
Yes we have only been talking about these 3 guys for 2 months now. In position to draft OL that can play right away at 29 and 35 we should stay put with our first 3 picks and take: 4. Best defensive player (Hawk or M. Williams... it's a toss up right now) 29. Mangold 35. Best OT available (preferably a guy like McNeill or O'Callaghan who can play RT and not have to handicap Jones by moving him to RT) Also welcome to the new regime... if we draft a DL in the first round this year it will because Mario Williams is the best player on the board at 4 and fills a need, not because it's in our history.
I agree 100%, that draft would be amazing, witht eh 3rd I would like to add Maurice Drew if we did not end up with Maroney
I don't think Lawson and Maroney will be there at 35 but I do think Mangold and Jean-Gilles will. I do not advocate drafting a guard as our biggest problems are at center and tackle.
