Just got finished playing my 1st game on Madden and it was fun...

All-Madden did the October 22nd game against Detroit since i'm going there and won 27-14.

I ran very effectively with Barlow, 25 carries for 103 yards. Blaylock added 30 yards on 6 carries.

Pennington 80% complete, 233 yards 2 TDs 1 INT...Completed the ball to 8 different WR's. The one that stings is that I ran the ball 5 straight times then hit the PA RB Flat and Bly bit as bad as you can bite(No safety help either)...I step up and Mangold lets go of the block on Shaun Rogers and instead of it being a 40 yard TD turned into a 4 yard Sack:mad:.

Defensively against the pass I was flawless...But I will ask what some of you use on the 3-4 to better stop the run, Jones only had 10 carries for 32 yards, but he had some nice runs in the process...I usually control the NT(DRob) and try to collapse, but sometimes does not work...I like the new "Commit to Run" play to where you can toggle the right analog either way the run is going to get over there, I did hit the wrong way once and Jones broke it for 8 yards...

The blitzing in the 3-4 is great, and as a whole I like it better than the 4-3. Just have to look at some more plays to better hold the run...

Interesting you play with the DT/NT. I always play as the SS. I find the most pointless position in the Game are the DT's. I could stop the run with DT's that have overalls of like 70. If they have good strength they will be effective. I use the SS b/c I feel that I am smarter than the AI and that I will do a better job of defending the run and pass....I usually move my guy up into the box where I can then drop back or come up even more to defend the rush. In a franchise season I usually have about 80 tackles, 15 sacks and 7-10 INT's on All-Madden.

Ever since this guy John Abraham came in Madden I have always used the DLine...With Abraham you could just swing around the tackle 90% of the time...And when I feel it's a run, I control either DT and work out alot...

I've been using a DLineman on defense for the past4 years...I guess I COULD adapt to using a linebacker or safety in the 3-4, but it'd be like a kid riding a bike...Just not used to it at all and will have my growing pains bad...I use the blitzing LB but against friends it seems too obvious that when i'm the LB, i'm blizting, so I'll have to disguise it and drop back instead...

In the Nickel/Dime I use Ellis, and in the 3-4, 90% of the time i'm DRob...

Interesting. I have been the SS for about 3-4 years now....and I am dominate. When I play friends they have no idea what I will do...blitz, drop back, or anything. To each his own!

Played my first preseason game yesterday and destroyed the Bucs LOL....I mainly use DRob 2...because i hate getting beat deep with safeties....the game is really smooth and the running style kicks ass

I also control the NT when playing defense.
