It's that time of year, the most excitement a Jet Fan gets to experience. Now the season boils down to draft position. The attacks will begin by those fans who become irate that some of us would rather have a good draft position then win meaningless games. Last year, our stellar play once we were eliminated vaulted us to the 18th pick where we picked Pryor, who care so much that he was late for meetings while playing like shit. Had we lost those meaningless games, we could have picked Beckham, a guy who has the talent and loves football. It probably doesn't matter because the Jets would probably fuck up any pick no matter where they pick. Wilkerson and Richardson are the only good picks we have had in years. But lets all get pumped for the draft and hope that we actually pick good players this year.
Hear, hear. It really is pathetic to think that the majority of teams in the league are still fighting for playoff contention and we haven't been in contention since September. Another long, wasted, meaningless season gone. This franchise and ownership sucks.
Does this mean that I as a fan can root for my team to get the best draft position possible? I mean I don't expect the players or coaches to tank, they're fighting for their jobs and for contracts, they'll play to win and I expect them to play to win. but as a fan i no longer have any possible reward for this season, not even .500...the only thing left to root for really is a good draft spot....
