it is possible because Tanny is a master of the cap, he restructured pace and someone else's contact (i want to say rhodes but dont hold me to that), and coles left too which freed up some room. So yea we got some money to throw around if we want.
That means Hutch will put out a cap figure of 18 million, Cimini will put out a figure of 3 million, and Can'O'Lardo will say we're in cap hell.
This says 11.7 and so far it has always been accurate. Take out 5 million for the rookie pool and it doesn't leave much..especially since they say they want to re-sign Mangold and Washington before the '10 season. http://www.nyjetscap.com/salary.html
Well the only reason he brought it up was to see if there was enough space for Cutler if they wanted to make the move and he said yes
Yeah, but I don't think they make that trade and not give him a new contract. He has three years left but it would be risky not to tie him up long term when you are giving up a lot to get him. Yes, he is cheap this year if they don't.
I mean, when thinking about it...14 million in Cap space isnt all that much to work with and correct me if Im wrong but some other teams are in the high 20's maybe even 30 million + in cap space and if it's down to 11.7, after the draft...We should ONLY be around 5-7 left but Im confident that Tanny will keep the bus rolling in terms of Cap Space. And if you ask me, it's a MUST that we sign Mangold and Washington before we see them rocking Jerseys of opposing teams...Get er done Tanny, get er done
