12 Years ago today, this "players coach" was frustrated by the lack of effort that his team was giving on the field. In his press conference there was no touting the company line or making believe that these loses didn't matter, but instead he put them on notice: either play hard or get out of the league.

That is the opinion of the person who posted the video, not mine.

I don't think it was the lack of effort he got a question in a PC that he didn't like concerning players quitting.

that was a great season after a brutal start.

Herm wasn't a very good coach. Herm was better than Rex though. Mangini was also better than Rex.

Maybe all these Jets that would supposedly run through walls for Rex, despite the clear lack of effort we have seen, took it literally and tried. It might explain 1-7.

    this.

he also got his players to play hard and didn't constantly tell them they were the greatest thing since sliced bread to give them big heads.

could you imagine bill parcells telling all his players how great they were all the time, instead of reminding them that roller skates weren't waiting for them?

We need a coach that isn't a pussy who coddles his players that makes millions of dollars.

Lack of effort? We must be watching different games. All I see out there is teams that are a hell of a lot more talented then the Jets. You don't lose to teams like Green Bay,Detroit, Chicago, New England, Denver (game was a lot closer then the score) by 8 points or less because the lack of effort. I'm not here saying they are moral victories I don't believe in that shit. We turn the ball over 4 times in the first half of Buffalo game and was only down 7 at the half. That because of effort and this team NOT quitting on Rex. So take that bullshit somewhere else.

first of all, you should look up the word " THAN" it could help. secondly, I noticed whenever you disagree with someone you tell them to take that shit outta here. You sound like a retard when you do that. finally, the Turnovers and the penalties and the drops and all the shit play we see is a direct result of not being prepared to play football. And when you're not prepared, its because you put forth zero effort.

First if you don't like my grammar then don't read my shit or hit ignore button. Second...I don't give a shit what I sound like to you or anyone else on here. Third...Now back to the topic.. We don't have one damn player on offensive side that scares anybody, but maybe Ivory. I can go on and on about the so called CB's we have. None of that is on Rex. It is Idzik job to get Rex the talent to win games. Look at SF and all the rumors floating around there about JH and how the players want him gone but they still keep winning. Why? Because they have talent there. The Jets don't have shit yes even my boy Geno look like shit who Idzik also drafted. Please tell me how overall Idzik made this team better then last season?

  17. It'd be nice to have a coach that WANTS t0 score points & move the football. I'm tired of this conservative crap.

I would imagine that the next coach will be an offensive coach (geez it's been forever since we have had an offensive minded HC. We haven't had one since Kotite <--Maybe that's why lol)

Players these days are told their great from age 12. They all have big heads by the time they're in high school.

If you think any player on the Jets got a change of attitude or mindset because of what Rex said about them then wow.

THAN...............................Im not going to argue with you about how bad of a coach RR is. If you can't see it by now, you're hopeless.
