It's a pretty legitimate list of reasons. Many of their signings were rather superficial, and they didn't do much to address their d outside of Adalius Thomas. Outside of Adalius Thomas, they have issues at linebacker. -X-
I believe it will set the tone for the season. While losing won't ruin our season, and could actually be motivation for Mangini moving ahead, you can bet your bottom dollar that we will be preparing our asses off for it. Man this is gonna be exciting!
We?re not preparing to beat the Pats, we?re prepering to beat every team. Mangini won?t start prepering for the Pats earlier, than he would for every other team. I can?t get y half of the members on this board go crazy every time we talk about them. Yeah, they?re good, and we face them twice a year, but twice a year, we got a chance to beat them. Any given Sunday, anything can happen so stop worring about the Pats until 2 weeks before the Season. Btw, y insn?t anybody talking about the Bills, the games vs them have been very hard lately, and they made a lot of good moves during the offseason. Imo they?re a Playoffcaliber team.
No doubt the Bills will be better, but better than us? I don't so , not this year. The reason why most fans on here are looking forward to these games is that most feel that by beating our best div rival should set us up for a div title. I'm sure that mangini and co are already scheming aboit this game already , not in great depth , but it will be on the radar.

I love how the conclusion is that our team has regressed in the off-season, if you are a Jets fan. If you're a Jets fan, it means that we have downgraded from last year. But, you know who Jets fans think has improved? The Jets! :lol: Who would have thought? ...And remember obsessed-with-the-Pats Jets fans, you need to post every 4.7 days why the Patriots will be terrible and how you've done nothing but improve. One of these decades it's bound to work out in your favor.

You, as a Sox fan, have to admit you obsess over the Yankees...But it's wrong for Jets fans to talk, or in your words, "obsess" over the Yankees...It's a two-way street...It happens. But all these little tedious jokes and sarcastic attitude is comical.
Thanks for the clarification, it makes more sense now. As for the Yankees, please find me posts where I obsess? Those days died in '04 when we finally won the World Series. But, I must admit, I do in fact love the Sox/Yankees rivalry (actually, you guys have won so much more it was not much of a real rivalry until we won it all in '04.) Obsessing would involve making thread after thread dedicated as to why the other team is not/won't be good. Unfortunately, the Sox are winning a lot now, so scrap those plans. But knowing my Sox, come August we'll be chasing the Yanks. :lol: In addition, baseball is a fraudulent sport. Not every team has the same tools as the Yanks & Sox. I mean, there are so many teams that are just minor league clubs in MLB. Though I do love baseball, I think we can both admit we are part of the "haves", and therefore like it more. If we were part of the "have-not's", we'd be miserable. The NFL on the other hand, is a level playing field for the most part (outside of signing bonuses.) So, while you guys were still defending good old Herm, we were winning. And now that you are improved immensely, why the need to obsess about us more with virtually daily articles (which most of you call out as being written by the know-nothing media) saying why we will suck? It is wishful thinking at best. I got no problems with well thought out arguments made by posters here, but the process of simply posting "media articles" to fuel your obsession is funny.
