Underclassmen always impact the NFL Draft, and the league is bracing for a record number of non-senior entrants into the 2009 event. The talent at several positions, including quarterback, running back, wide receiver, defensive line and cornerback, would be significantly upgraded with an infusion of underclassmen talent.

Here's a list of the top draft eligible non-seniors at each position, along with their present draft ranking and a prognosis on if they'll be playing on Sundays next year. Underclassmen have until Jan. 15 to declare their eligibility for the draft in April.

i dont see how Bradford pans out as a second round prospect that is crazy. Everyone says he has the potential to be a great qb.

I don't agree with Pauline here. He knows better. Yeah, Bradford plays in a spread offense and takes a lot of snaps out of the gun, but that's college football nowadays. You have to do your homework on these kids and have a good read if it'll translate into a pro-style offense. Bradford has the arm, accuracy, athletic ability, and intangibles to be a very high selection.

I'm glad to see him be the first person to mention that Stafford could go mid-first. Matt Ryan he is not, and he'll have a lot of work to do. I don't like the top 5 projections for him...

It's not a major knock that Bradford got a second round grade right now...alot of underclassmen get a conservative grade.

I really think Kenny Britt's going to end up as one of the top 3 WRs selected in this draft. He's coming out, that's almost a guarantee, and with his size and speed, along with the brilliant season he had; he's going to be a big name as the draft gets closer. Also, just for facts sake, he, believe it or not, is only 80 yards away from the all time Big East receiving record.

Stafford has a monster, motherfucker of an arm but sometimes I get the feeling he's a bit of a dullard. Doesn't unnecessarily mean he'll wind up as a Leinart instead of a Matt Ryan, as that'll probably depend more on his mechanics.

The mid-first round projection in that article is a good call, but Detroit will probably draft him #1 for the sake of making a QB the top pick, a la Alex Smith and every other shitty #1 QB.
