I seriously thought the Dolphins were maybe the worst team I'd ever seen last year, but I don't know if I've EVER seen a performance as pathetic as the Lions today.
No no no. The Dolphins were solid compared to the 08 Lions. This is pathetic and sad. Worst team I've ever seen.
We had 6 games that we lost by 3 points or less. Minus their game against the Vikings, the Lions have been getting hosed pretty much every game. It's not even close
Yeah, you guys are right. I just remember how it used to be all the winless teams by the middle of the year would be playing every game close (including the '01 Lions). I just rememeber Miami being continually blown out. Nothing like this though.
Worst team ever. The thing about the Dolphins- they'd had success. A fishhead could watch the Fins pick up their 10th loss, go home, throw on his Marino jersey and jerk off to to thoughts of Mercury Morris. What can a Lions fan do? The best player in their history retired early just to get away from that shit hole. That Detroit Lions are the worst franchise in sports history.
You can make a case against that. Atleast they have won an NFL championship, something multiple other teams have failed to do.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_team_season_lists My vote goes to the Cardinals...
Its typical in the NFL to hear the players of bad teams say "if we can just hold things together in the 4th quarter, we'll be fine". The truth is that teams take it easy on really bad teams for three quarters and then turn it on and pull away at the end. But this Lions team is so bad that even when teams are taking it easy they pull away. And to be worse than last years Dolphins is quite a feat, the Dolphins had serious injury problems and traded away their best WR for draft picks midseason.
08 Lions are much worse. The Fins last year were in some games, ish. But these guys... my goodness. But the Fins had a sickening turn around this year and have no business winning the games they are, and being in a position to compete for a wildcard. I doubt the Lions will turn it around so quickly.
2008 Lions are probably going winless, so that'll give them the edge over the 07 Fish. Still, nothing can compare to the 76-77 Bucs team that lost its first 26 games.
To be fair, both of these apply to Detroit. They're on their third QB, they've had a few defensive line injuries, and they traded away Roy Williams midseason. I know Calvin is better, but Roy is just as good if not better than Chambers.
This Lions team is terrible. I don't see them winning a game and quite frankly would rank them worse than the 76-77 Bucs because at least the Bucs were an expansion team.
