So now big corporations should just pay for anyone's college if they mow a few lawns. Wish I would have known that before my kids all went to college.

Everyone wants to give away free shit.

How about the lesson of the old days, work your ass off to get what you want.

I commend the Panthers for this.

The world is full of entitled whiny twats.... I started mowing the lawn when I was 9, then mowing neighbors lawns when I was 10 or 11. I wouldve been stoked to get a JETS mower, over using the old POS that my dad would say "It's fine!" ;)

College is exponentially more expensive than a lawn mower. What were they expecting??? Maybe the Jets can help me buy a house next year. Why not?

Making him an honorary groundskeeper was a bit Judge Smailsy IMO - "How'd you like to mow my lawn Danny?"

Give him the lawnmower and put $500-5k in a college account for the kid. It would've saved them the PR headache.

Hell ya. They should have given him the lawnmower and made him sign a payday loan finance plan. Teach the kid the value of staying ahead of debt collectors.
