The biggest mistake the jets make year in and year out is they always try to import has been players and hope they pan out. I'd rather have a fresh start with a new player and only been on the jets.

For instance L coles traded away and brought back not the same player when he returned. Traded L jordan away traded ferguson away traded keyshawn away traded farrior away traded hugh douglas away traded j vilma away traded pete kendall away traded abraham away traded Santana moss away and the list keeps on going.

My point is that we always trade quality players away and they turn out to be good to excellent players. And we receiver junk in return. Let's just get us a star player who can change the game in an instant. I personally want a running back and Chris Wells is a hell of a back if we don't get him he will be tearing it up for somebody next year. And if we don't get him then a receiver.

So what you're saying is that the Jets should acquire good players and not give them up?

Hmmm...sounds like thats what these guys are doing.

And as far as importing players...Pace, Jenkins, Faneca, and Woody all seem to be doing fine.

That's why I think getting Jennings to pair with Washington is a great move - they are definitely complimentary backs however Jennings has the talent and potential to be a #1 RB and workhorse.

This year has been an excellent choice of selecting players.. But you and I can look back over the years and see horror show... Washed up ronnie lott, steve atwater, the last running back we had I can't even remeber his name from SF was garbage, putzier and many more. And we give away players like kareem mckenzee, mawah. My thing is if we keep the quality players we do get we would have a dynasty team. Remember aaron Glenn so many players we just give up for shitty players in return.

Don't want Larry Johnson he seems to like to beat on woman. One acquisation maybe but 5 of them come on he is a problem

In going with what has been said in here, the needs of the team moving forward and the RB situation, I made a thread in the Draft forum about how the Jets should address the draft/FA over the next 2 years. It's got a bunch of players and possible free agents in it, so if you want to take a look you can click on this link: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?p=996523&posted=1#post996523

Don't mind MrElectric - he tends to come online only during that certain time of the month...

If you're going to take a running back that is already in the league, look to Tashard Choice in Dallas. With Marion Barber and Felix Jones ahead of him, the Cowboys don't need him and he (barring injury) can't really see much playing time. He will have a year of experience under his belt by next year as well. Give them the fourth round pick they used on him and maybe a sixth or seventh, and use the rest of the draft to get depth at guard and linebacker and competition at safety.

Choice is a good RB, but I would rather take Jennings and keep the late round pick.

You made a thread in the draft forum? Wow...you are way more important than I thought. I still want to you know what scouting agency you worked for, because I think that's BS.

    1. I know what position Kerry Rhodes plays.

    2. I know what kind of draft picks we're going to get back in the Kendall and Vilma trades - we're not getting anything for Robertson, so stop using that trade as an excuse to throw some random player into your garbage mocks.

    3. I don't start spam threads asking questions that have simple answers. Do the Jets need a running back? What position does Rhodes play? Use the internet.

    4. I've been around these parts much longer than you, and I guarantee you I'll be here longer.

ON TOPIC: I like Marlon Lucky out of Nebraska as a late round runner.

Jets need a real OC before picking up any talent on offense. Joe Montana will look like shit under BS1. (So will Steve Young, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning - you name the QB, he will automatically look like shit. Brett proved so, if Chad didn't already.)

I don't the so about the QB situation and OC. I think brett favre has been calling his own plays for so long the OC is like do your thing brett and just run the offense. It might of worked in GB cuz everyone was on da same page but here in ny they should be telling him what plays to run

I would be all over getting Moreno or Chris wells if we could. Jones will be 31 soon and we all know what will happen in the next year or two. It will be an intersting draft this year for sure, with the number of prospects hitting at positions we can use.

For once, I'd like to see a Jet Rb with some breakaway speed and power. Haven't seen that in a long time around these parts..

That was LaMont before he went to Oakland and became crap.

Personally I'm happy with the Jones and Washington combo. They are getting the job done when called upon... no need for improvement here...
