Al Dorow here expressing the fact that it's ALL about the JETS!! Huge mother-frigging-week for the Jets. You can't stop thinking about them this week. You're excited. You EAT them, you SLEEP them and they consume you completely. Because it's all about this week and one of the absolute most passionate loves of your life...the JETS! For the rabid fan out there, this is what you live for, breath for and exist for....a SUPER MEANINGFUL Jets game! The anticipation until Sunday is long yet at the same time stimulating. Because it's all about the JETS. The JETS. The JETS!!! So this is the time....go ahead....feel free to continue to ponder the wonderfully enormous possibilities. Games like this come but 5 or 6 times in an entire decade when you're a Jets fan. Put the heartaches behind you and push your enthusiasm to the forefront. It's OUR Jets, after all. The New York Jets!! LET YOUR LOVE RUN FREE....AND ENJOY THE MOMENT!!!! (By the way, Vicodine is good shit)

I'm with you Al! I just signed up for the HD Gamepass so I can watch this game. I can hardly wait for Sunday!

I don't care what the naysayers say (probably "nay"), I think the Jets can click and put something special together here, but I'll settle for the ugliest 3-0 victory I've ever seen to get a share of first place in the division...

Sorry. The Jets suck. I'm trying very hard not to think about them right now.

I think the upset is possible too. The CS may have their heads up their asses, but I can see the Bills losing to the 3 division rivals in these weeks. MIA loss, Jets sunday, and the Pats next week.. The NFL's absolute parity displayed this year almost commands it to happen.

**sigh**..I've told you all all week that this will be an easy win for the Jets. Buffalo is a fraud.

keep your hopes on the low side. I will be shocked if the Jets win. I think the Bills give the Jets an asswhoopin the way the Jets should`ve given one to KC.

    Bills - 38
    Jets - 10

I'm not talking about winning or losing. This thread is about EXCITEMENT and HOPE of the NOW! Right NOW....and these hours leading up to the game. This has nothing to do with the outcome. It's about being a die hard fan of a team and the charge and exhilaration of this upcoming...IMPORTANT contest. This is when it's a great time to be a fan. This thread is about the wonderment and jubilation of possibility!

I'm with you all the way on this Al. This is a great Sunday for a Jets fan, a meaningful game against a division opponent in November. The players on both teams know it also. Should be intense playoff type football.

I've enjoyed the fuck outta this Jets season of football here in 2008 so far! Favre has been exciting for this offense and our 3-4 defense is really starting to stuff the run...It's only a matter of time before players like Rhodes, Revis and now Lowery start to hold it down in the secondary.

What an offseason we had! Picking up Faneca and Jenkins was genious. Favre may throw ints but you know what? The Jets already have 4 wins after 7 games played (Only had 4 all of last year) We have a chance to move up in the AFC East with a win against the Bills this week and you know what? It's a great feeling because something tells me that this Jets team will only continue to get beter.

    I hate predicting games but...

    Jets-23
    Bills-10

It would be awsome to see Gholston play up to this talent and potential but you know what? How about Stucky and Lowery? These two rookies bring a lot of hope to Jet fans like myself.

Remember when Willis McGahaee use to run wild on the Jets defense? Not anymore! We have one hell of a 3-4 when it comes to stuffing the run. GL Lynch because I cant see this guy rushing for over 60 yards this week.

    Note to Mrs. Dorow:

Please keep all sharp objects out of Al's reach from about 2:30 pm Sunday, until he sobers up.

This includes his razors, forks, even plastic. Of course any knives. Any glassware, and perhaps above all, any type of cord.

Al: I'm trying to get into it. I really am............All my alarms are going off. I'll be alright by 1:00 pm Sunday.

Hey, please make a post on Monday so we know you are alright.

After 40 years I will never allow myself to get as high as Al was, writing that post. Don't get me wrong you have to love a fan who loves this team that much. Yet, Al, I gotta tell you, you are setting yourself us for major heartbreak and after a few year you will be just like the rest of us old timers. The flip side of this line of thought is, you don't get sick either after losses.

I expect Buffalo to be very pissed about losing to the Fins last weekend and expect them to take the loss out on the Jets Sunday. I do not think the Bills are frauds at all and they seem to have a very solid club. If the team that played KC or Oakland shows up in Orchard Park I expect an ass kicking that will deflate the promise of this season in many fans eyes.

Sorry guys but I don't have a good feeling about this weekend, I'm hopeful, yet I'm always hopeful before every game. This team has tons of talent yet, we seem to be unable to get on a roll. We really may need this whole season to work out all the kinks and bugs before we see the progress we all expect at the start of this season.

Then the question becomes will Brett be will to come back and try one more year after a tough year with the Jets under his belt. In his pressers he seems to be leaning that way, and always mentions how much he enjoys the Jets and his team mates. So maybe there is a bit of hope in that area.

Yet unless the Jets can get past the stupid mistakes and get back to the solid football we all know they can play, this year may be a wash.

You have to win games like this one to get to the Super Bowl.

    Thus, the excitement is justified.

That and...4-4 is a pretty shitty record, especially with the schedule coming up. If you want to make the playoffs, you'll have to play at least 4 games above .500, probably 6 above. 4-4 is at .500, at the halfway point of the season. Not even the biggest homer can think 6-2 or 7-1 are likely, especially when people keep claiming the league is full of parity.

5-3 isn't much better, but atleast you're 2 above. If you just repeat that same production you might squeak into the playoffs. I don't know why people think a .500 team can somehow become a .880 team though.
