so with all the anti play calling comments from the KC game and 'fire mangini' comments flying around, here's a follow up thought: Cowher. He's exacltly what we need.

i don't remember the talk show, but some announcer said some other team (not the jets) was thinking about making a serious run at him.

if cowher comes back and we tag him, what would your reaction be?

This was put to Bill Cowher by Boomer Esiason in a chat around this time last year. I think it's fair to say that Bill wasn't overly excited by the proposal!!!

It would not solve our problems on offense.

I would love it. but i would also give a personal guarantee that he would have no interest in this team. WHy would he want to come to a team that when Favre leaves(most likely a 1 and done),will be in search of a franchise QB? If he is going to coach again,he has already won a SB. he's going to go somewhere that won't take him another 10-15 years to have a chance at winning.

Are we gonna start a Bill Cowher thread every week? He's certainly not coming back this year, and if he comes back to coaching next year, maybe we can talk about it. But, today's WIN was not the fault of the coaching staff. It's on Brett. He sucked today

Cowher isn't the answer. Name the coach who won a SB with 2 teams. The answer is 0

What a great idea! Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?

I think the problem is that the best choice for the job is some unknown guy none of us know about. Look at Tony Sparano, I never heard of the guy before they made him the Miami HC and it took me six months to stop laughing at his name. But he's a real good coach, Parcells knew that and didn't care that the owner and the fan base were gonna say "Tony who?" We need a GM who can spot coaching talent in that manner. Like I said, the best guy for this job is someone none of us have ever heard about.

Just remember all the time Cowher's teams choked at home in postseason throughout his career. Let's worry about this team turning things around before we start looking for new coaches.
