I just don't know where to start really... 1. Offensive playcalling is all over the place. We start with 5 wide stuff and move the ball then we go to normal stuff and move the ball on the ground, but we can't link it up for long enough to get good drives going. Looks to me like SHotty doesn't have a good grasp of how to run an offense.... or at least THIS offense 2. Defensive playcalling on passing downs is odd... I fcking despise 3 man rushes.. why woudl you not pressure a young QB like this?!!??! 3. The players themesevles making stupid plays. Why the fck is K. Rhodes blitzing 15 yards from the LOS.. what did he think he was going to actually get there?!?!?! I don't care what the play call is you gotta abort that shit when you realize you fcked up!!! 4. Baker.. ugh... WHY DO YOU HAVE TO FALL ON THE MOST IMPORTANT PLAY OF THE GAME?!! 5. Mangini... I don't know he's the HC, so he has to take some blame here. We just have this way of playing down to our opponents level every fckign time, not sure why but for once it would be nice to step in and demolish a team we are supposed to demolish.
They will win that game, no doubt about it. But that's not the point. After today, can the jets beat any quality teams? The game in buffalo is now a must win. If they blow it, all hope is lost.
Sure it does. We lost to a horrid team, how can the jets expect to beat quality teams (like the scheduled teams after the KC game), if they can't even beat the raiders?

I don't know that we can demolish anybody. It doesn't get much worse than the Raiders, and it sure didn't look like we were more talented. I think they're only 1 game worse than us now.
chiefs are not beating us at home there is no way, not after a loss as bad as this one, eve favre said this is one of most difficult losses hes ever been a part of, and he is def gunna come out firing sunday, lets go jets!!!! please everyone lets get over this, we were one brad smith trip tackle, chris baker slip away from this game in our hands and we PLAYED HORRIBLE which says alot about the raiders, the jets are going to have bad games against some bad teams but they are going to have good games against good teams, they always play to thier opponents level, lets get going, lets get this team going. My post quality was never very high, but I am making a point. The point being, that the Jets tend to play down to weaker team's levels. Good teams dominate weak teams (see Bucs vs Seattle), we on the other hand have a problem doing that.... that's my point.
Its the flow that bothers me. We do good things but we don't know what to do with these good things. We've had a good run in almost every drive, but we didn't know how to build on that.... where was the play action?!?! When you run well you use PA... and I didn't see any of it.. none, none at all...
That's the problem, the coaches are morons. They try to run it 3 times from the 2 yard line and can't punch it in. It was obvious by the second run it wasn't going to work. They get killed, rightfully, all week for that so... They then throw it what was it 5 times in a row against San Diego? The ball was at the 1/4" line! NOW if you can't even get that little, you don't deserve it. Why pass there? They start with the spread, and the Raiders counter with pressure. So what do we do? Nothing really, we wait until Favre is knocked loopy and then just dink and dunk the rest of the day. We also always, always refuse to bring pressure on 3rd down, when it seems on 3rd down for us that's when the opposing team brings it on us. We'll also run the same basic set of plays each drive. We'll either run up the middle or try the stretch play that drive, we will not mix the two around, we won't use play action, we won't do anything really. We'd get 7 yard runs on 1st down and then just run it for no gain on 2nd, then be forced to pass on 3rd. That happened quite a lot in OT especially. The coaches just can not take the pulse of a game, they just seem to try random things and hope something sticks. That's a bad way to try and play offense. This is really troublesome, I don't know how it can get fixed honestly. It just looks to me that they're in over their heads. A good offensive mind generally gets it to begin with. You don't suddenly become a good play caller your third year. Actually next year would be the 4th anyway...Year 4 of this regime. We're all getting older while the Jets problems stay the same..
