The New York Jets have scheduled a special memorial presentation for my son, the ?Green Guy?. It will take place at about 10:30 am on the field before the game next week. His 6 year old daughter Morgan will meet some players and be given a ball signed by team members. We, Mrs. LV Coach (Dorothy) and LV Coach (Ron), will be sitting with Morgan and two of Michael?s friends in the Owner?s box for the game. We are flying in from Vegas on Friday. This is the result of one friend?s (Lee) effort working with a member of the Jets staff. The members of the Gang Green had written about 40 + pages of comments about Michael?s love of the Jets and his football knowledge. A copy of that, along with a history of his involvement as a fan over many years, was given to the Jets front office and this is the result. I thank all of you once again! My hope is that those of you who get in the stadium that early will be able to see and support the presentation with Jet, Jet, Jet chants. LV Coach
That is very nice of the Jets organization to do for family in honor of your son. My condolences to the family, once again.
Great News Ron.... Hopefully when you get back you can join us at JR's Place- Durango and Russell for the games the rest of the year. Bugsys' is closed!
thats great to hear lv. i was hoping to see something on the big board to say thank you to green guy, this is far beyond that. great jobs jets for your support of a great fan, great job ganggreen for putting the thoughts on paper.
It's great of the Jets to do something like that for Michael, I'm sorry I never got meet him but I think his memory will always live on in the members of this board and all the other Jets fans who knew him.
The organization takes a lot of heat on a lot of topics, but I am glad to see them doing something very classy for a first class fan and his family. Gone, but never forgotten. Our prayers still go out to you and your family LV.
That is the best news I have heard in months. I will come by JRs Place for a few weeks and I hope to see you and Dorothy there.
I'm just curious how this went....... I hope Michael's daughter had a great experience and I can only imagine how emotional of an afternoon you and your wife had.
