Pretty much no excuse for coming in here so unprepared. Epic loss.

As i said in another thread:

R.I.P. 2008 Jets Season: When will I learn? It doesn't matter who is the Quarterback, the Head coach, or the Owenership: This franchise's sole purpose is to be the laughingstock of the NFL.

Playcalling was horrible, too conservative and ran Jones into the ground.

when will they learn that conservative play-calling will not limit interceptions? if anything throwing deep will spread the field out and make it easier

Conservative playcalling will induce MORE interceptions, not less. Simple logic - if you are frequently forced into obvious passing situations (3rd and 8 or more) the more chances are out there for interception.

I agree but it almost seems pointless doesn't it? With the exception of Parcells, this franchise has seen a carousel of shitty coaches. If the Jets do fire Mangini then who is out there who can build a real team? I'm so sick of this shit.

First loss to the Raiders since 2002

    Embarrassing

I wish VickBlows would chime in with his list of Mangini nicknames :(

I'm not gonna pile on here but, Mangini really does have to be held accountable for this team's obvious unpreparedness for the game today. The OT playcalling was atrocious to the point of being Hackettesque.

Am I surprised we lost today? Absolutely not because these are exactly the kind of games the Jets usually lose..

Coaching lost this game today. Not Baker's two left feet..

I've said it before Mangini cannot coach, he was just riding Belichicks coattail. I mean you have a young qb, blitz the hell out of him. What was with all these three man fronts.

We lost to a good defensive team on the road, normal in the NFL. We take care of business in our own division and we will be fine.

I agree. He does seem to be in over his head in coaching this team. Whatever knowledge he was able to glean from Belichick, it apparently wasn't enough.

Does the coach really even matter? 1969...how many coaches have we had since that time? Who really knows what it's gonna take for this team to finally get it on a consistent basis. We're all very upset right now, so we say all sorts of stuff. I've let sports not affect me too much these days....I'm a Mets fan. Nuff' said.

At this point my I'm not going to fire mangini for what happened Im going to fire him because he does not leave any one accountable. He is always like its a "team" effort that is mostly true but he has to make people accountable he has been given a shit load of talent so there is no more blaming the talent. He has probably put one of the most talented teams in years on the field for the Jets and he needs to find a way and fuckin kick his coaching staff in the ass and tell them if they cant take the heat get out of the kitchen

In general, I don't like blitzing. Occasionally it does work, of course.

Aside from the field goal, the Raiders most successful play in OT came on a blitz by the Jets.

That we lost is only part of the problem. We didn't deserve to be firggin' tied!!

It was 3-3 at the half. 3-3!!! Against the Raiders!! A team that was giving away stupid penalties like Halloween candy. With a running game that ate up almost 250 yards on the ground!!

Go away Eric. St. Colletta's Day School needs a volleyball coach.
