Many Moons ago, I used to post on the Jetsconfidential site. I remember seeing some posters mention this site. At the time I didn't think much of it until they shut down that site for an extended stretch. That's when I remembered this site and originally came here. The people who posted here were very knowledgeable and insightful about not only the Jets but football in general. I really enjoyed their points of view and I must say that some of the posters challenged me to view this team in a different light. To this day, I really enjoy reading what some of you have posted and I must say that there are times when I read something and think, "Wow, I would never have thought of that." I felt then and I still feel that this is the best Jets site. I guess that's why I never left.
I found this site a couple of weeks ago and finally got in earlier this week. I'm from NC, and I have been a diehard Jets fan going all the way back to the Sack Exchange years. I also root for the Panthers as well, but once in four years, I can't when they're playing the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!! I look forward in contributing to the forum as much as possible. GO JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ats_suck:
Sup guys Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jeff, from Des Moines, Iowa. I have been a Favre fan since first catching him play in college in Mississippi while I was there visiting my Grandpa. I used to be a Packers fan until this summer and was very disapointed with Pack managment with the way they handled the situation, and I will just leave it at that. I will admit that I do not know much about the Jets but I am now a JETS fan. Look forward to chatting with you guys during Game Days! Oh and I found this site using Ask.com because I wanted to find a good Jets forum board to chat on during game days.
I discovered this a while ago.. I just signed up. I don't remember how I found the site but I know its the best messageboard out there for Jets fans.
I joined when TampaBayJetsFan decided to troll the Boston Red Sox boards and called for an AFC championship for the Jets and laughed repeatedly about Brady's knee injury. He bragged about how "loved" he is on ThegangGreen boards, so i stopped in. I feel that the NY/NE rivalry has soured into hatred, and it shouldn't be that way. Jets fans are proud, Pats fans are equally as proud. The hatred part is uncalled for. So, I call-out the hopelessly contrived and hateful, but know that only a Jets SB ring will cure the woes on this MB. Until then, peace.
typed New York Jets Forum into google checked a few out but this place seemed like the most active and most interesting one and here I am 3 years later....still on less than 100 posts hmy:
my new girlfriend loves the jets too and renewed my love for the jets and decided id look for some other people who like the jets to talk about what failures they are. maybe itll change this year tho!!!!
I did a Google Search on Jets Websites. I've been a poster on Jetsinsider for a long time, and thought I'd join here as well. -Jason (IL)
Hello everyone, 1st time poster here At the behest of a few guys that I have known for a long time on the AOL NYJ message board I have decided to take their advice and join here as well. OK, on to business. I was very confident the Jets would get a win last week against the Bengals, even more so when Cinci announced that Fitzgerald would get the start over Palmer. This week I'm confident that the Jets will get a win, that is to say I'm slightly less confident than I was last week. After getting waxed last week by the Saints I'm expecting new Raiders HC Tom Cable to, using an old Parcells axiom, "circle the wagons" and regroup for the first home game of the Cable era. To help minimize Raider QB JaMarcus Russell's mistakes you can expect the Raiders to keep it close to the vest all day long hoping that running the ball, playing some solid defense, field position and hitting on a deep pass play or two will help get Oakland a win in a low scoring game. After seeing some of last weeks game it's obvious Oakland cannot win shootout games against too many teams. Oakland ran the ball only 18 times last week and threw the ball 35 times. We should see a reversal of those numbers on Sunday. Look for Russell to use that 6' 6" 260 frame of his as a weapon against what should be a spirited NYJ pass rush. If he pulls the ball down and takes off when the Jets collapse the pocket the Raiders may be able to play a little bit of the clock game and keep Favre off the field. From the Jets side of things I think we'll continue to see the Jets try to get the running game going by using the passing game to set it up. Defensively Oakland is a mess against the pass, ranked 25th in passing yards allowed, 22nd in opponent QB rating 27th in yards per pass attempt & 20th in TD passes allowed per game. Look for the Jet passing game to continue putting the ball in Coles and Cotchery hands with room to run, both have been getting some serious YAC since Favre has arrived. Once you can get the Raiders DB's and LB's backing up a little bit then hopefully Jones & Washington will have some room to run. A lot of people, myself included, are starting to have doubts about Jones and his overall lack of production but to be fair you have got to lay some of the blame at the feet of the OL because on too many occasions the holes simply aren't there. In the kicking game the Raiders lead the NFL with a 48.9 avg per punt and are 7th in the NFL in net yards per punt @ 41.6 and they allow only 8.3 return yards per punt (ranked 13th). Conversely the Jets have a 4th worst 42.5 per punt average, a 2nd worst 34.6 net yards per punt and they allow 11.1 yds. per punt return (ranked 22nd). The disparity in those numbers bears close watching because if the Raiders do as I expect good field position can only further enhanced their chances. Offensively both teams have solid kick return games KOR men. Raider WR Johnnie Higgins averages 25.2 yards per KOR (ranked 15th) and 10.3 yards per punt return (ranked 13th) while NYJ RB Leon Washington averages an NFL best 31.5 yards per KOR and has a 13.6 yards per punt return (ranked 7th). Hopefully, whatever the Jets may lose in their punting game can be made up for here, under Westhoff the Jet KOR game has been deadly. This won't be the old AFL style game the Jets and Raiders used to play, if it is the Jets will win in a walk. I think we'll see a low scoring game here, a game the Jets should win so long as they keep the mistakes to a minimum. Oakland will have their usual raucous home crowd in this game from the first snap, however unlike in olden days once you get this Raiders team down they usually stay down. If the Jets want to seriously contend in the wide open AFC this is a game they have to find a way to win, and I think they will. Last weeks win means nothing if the Jets cannot find a way to win this game. This is the part of their schedule where the Jets have to make hay. Wins in the next two weeks will send the Jets into their week 9 game @ Buffalo at 5-2. In a game with all kinds of playoff implications a 5-2 record guarantees the Jets would be playing for no worst then a share of the lead in the AFCE. With that said let's not get ahead of ourselves here, let's see the Jets go to their former house of hell & silence the home crowd quickly before they begin to think they can actually win this game. I'll call this one for the good guys. Jets 19-13. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you and anticipate enjoying the hell out of this board just as I've had a ball with the long timers on the AOL Jets board. I've spent 10 years with guys like Mech, Tarr, Ted, Rocky, ShyJack, Sylncr, Mitch, Henri, Holz, Rick & Jkcngb to name just a few over on the AOL board. I hope we can continue to do those same kinds of things here as well.
Hey all. Chiefs fan here. I found this place back when our "brilliant" GM decided to give a draft pick to y'all for Herm the Germ. I think some of you may have come over to our board to warn us about him. I was one of the few that didn't want him anywhere near KC. After watching what he did to your team, I knew it would be just a matter of time before he did the same thing to KC and he has. Hopefully, he'll be run out of town along with the GM that hired him at the end of the season. Good Luck with your game against the Faiders today.

I found this site after repeatedly not getting posted on "the offical site of the Jets" for speaking my mind after a bad Jets loss! I hate the fucking pats! And just want to be able to vent after a shitty loss. Just like sunday against the raiders. I think I have found a Jets home page I can call home.
from a Packer fan that wanted me to see how you folks were bellyaching over Favre!.....he thought it was hilarious. Nice BB!
