I have lived in Rochester my entire life as a Jets Fan. I go to the Bills/Jets game every year in Buffalo. EVERY year i end up getting into at least one altercation at this game. Last year after we lost I knocked a kid over the guard rail because he got in my face about the jets (he must have been drunk considering i'm 6'6" 315lbs). 4 years ago i got into 3 fights. The highlight was when some girl was blowing an air horn in my ear after we lost. I turned around and said "don't do that again or I will destroy your boyfriend." She did it again and he tasted concrete. I work at a local TV station here. Our Sports director (who is from Philly) has been to every NFL stadium in the country. He said that Bills fans, BY FAR are the worse to opposing fans. The Eagles, Jets and Raiders are bad -- but the Bills fans are AWFUL.
True. I was in my 30s when I went, so maybe that's why I didn't get into any fights. I was at the New England MNF game that same year, tons of angry drunk Pats fans after that one and still had no trouble.
I had a terrible experience there which I posted about recently. I took my girlfriend there for the Jets-bills game in 2006. All the Bills fans in our section were nasty and vile towards us. A few of them were screaming racial slurs at my girlfriend (we are an interracial couple). It ruined our whole day.
I just got back from Niagara Falls with a stop in Buffalo. I've never been to a game, but the city is a dump and it seems everyone there is defined by the Bills. I went into a conveneince store wearing a jets fleece and got harassed. Good luck
i go to school at suny buffalo...ima senior...i been to every jets game since freshmen year here....i go to the bar to watch jets game every sunday...bills fans r annoying...i cant even give them any hope for anything...whenever an ignorant bills fan says something, i just remind them they havent made the playoffs in 10 years and that their team can only win at home... im going to the game here in a couple weeks and to answer ur question i would be prepared to deal with bullshit, but its almost funny how retarded and ignorant bills fans can be...ima die hard jets fan so i have no problem arguing with bills fans...when testeverde was our qb cuz chad was hurt like 2 years ago, a bills fan told me to eat vinnys asshole...all i said to him was music city miracle and he got so offended and almost cried... but when i walk into the stadium ima be shouting J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS in my jerricho cotchery jersey not giving a fuck about homo bills fans.. hope this helps
to add to what i just said... they r especially excited this year since they r 4-1...around here all the talk is about playoffs...being originally from staten island i regret my decision going to suny buffalo cuz the city is trash and the people breathe the bills....but just like this city, the bills r trash...nothing would be better but to beat the bills in a couple weeks here in buffalo
I went on a road trip up to Buffalo and I saw a bunch of people in Bills jerseys BBQing babies and kittens and puppies, and they were using KETCHUP instead of A1!!! Heathens!
Majority of Buffalo fans are pieces of trash, from the punk kids to the elderly...do not discriminate. My buddy went up to see the Jints play up there and a 75 yr old hag threw a beer at him and cursed him out. 1 word: Classless

I lived in Rochester for 19 years and went to about 7-8 years of Bills/Jets games. You'll be fine if you don't look for fights. Go, cheer for your team and ignore the people yelling at you. PEOPLE WILL TALK TRASH TO YOU. It's your choice, either confront or be the bigger man and walk away. Most fans are good hearted, as I have a lot of Bills fans as my best friends. Enjoy!
