Is this guy Dodd serious about this mock he made up???? It is probably the worst one that i have seen so far. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8303830 There is no way leinhart slips to 9.
it lost its credibility with AJ hawk at #2... i highly doubt we pass on leinart at 4. to get him and keep all our picks is great.
Could you imagine if D'Brick, Mario, AND Leinart were all on the board at #4? Wow. Hawk's actually not a terrible pick for the Saints becasue they badly need an OLB, but #2 is too high for him.
This was updated today, but it has --Greenway at #7 after his bad workouts --DeMeco Ryans at #12 (too high) --Vernon Davis at #24 (way too low)
That is just in ugly mock draft. How do you get a job doing that, I would love to be a weather man or someone who gets paid to fly around the country, watch sports and guess on what is going to happen during the upcoming draft. Two great American jobs, this is what I think is going to happen but who knows.
Does it honestly make a difference how i spell a persons name? Come on, comment on the thread dont correct my spelling!
Sure will. Young will go to Oakland and Leinart ends up in Tennessee. CBS Sportsline's writers are on smack.
Even if he gets some of the early picks correct, no way Oakland passes up on a heisman trophy winner. I could see the Jets passing on Leinart even if he is available and take the safe pick in Furguson
It's funny that they have us passing on Leinart at #4 and then at 29 the comment is that we didn't get our QB
I think the CBS football writers go out of their way to walk outside of the path of conventional thought - except when it comes to the Manning girls.
Wow that draft just shows anything can happen. Just like posters here say.... so and so should be the pick but others think WTF. Leinart to 9? Someone has to trade up before that happens, I think this guy has Lienart falling cause of the Aaron rogers, roethlisberger effect. I just dont see Leinart falling cause he might be the most sure QB out there. V young might have the most potential but this is a now league. but after saying its a now league if 10 coaches changed hands some teams can be looking at the future depending on how long their GM has been there. plus last yr was one of the most crappiest drafts ever it was pretty hard to trade out of the top 10. You can tell most teams were trying as they took their full 15 minutes. And I still cant believe the Lions took a Wr. some people liked it cause it was Mike Williams but I was like WTF is this crap Williams wasnt that good in combines and hasnt played in a yr. but there will be suprises and who knows what they will be.
the other question in that CBS mock... they have Huff #6. Is that the 2nd highest a Safety has ever been taken? Sean Taylor a couple yrs ago had to be the highest(5th). In my 27 yrs of living I dont remember a Safety being taken that high also I never seen that much press on him like he is the next sure HOFer.
The late, great, Eric Turner. Number two overall in 1991. The only other high safety that comes to mind is Roy Williams at numero ocho. Your point seems to hold up.
I'm not really following a lot of the logic here. Maybe Tangini still has a little time before they lose credibility, but can you imagine what would've happened if Herm and Bradway had picked D'Brickashaw (who I love) over Leinart? An angry mob would literally burn them at the stake. And I'd be at the head.
